  Decent location

  Sadly they put us in a room in main building between 2 entrances. So, as any good dog would, she let us know every time someone was there. Had to get new door card keys 4 different times. Allegedly they are getting a new key system. Lots of contractors with trailers taking up all the charged for good parking. Other then those 2 issues, our stay was good.

  Unresponsive staff

  We arrived for a one night stay before flying out of San Francisco. We choose it because it's pet friendly. But here's the hitch. If you have a dog the stick in the annex building behind the main hotel. The main part seems to be for airline staff on layovers. The air conditioning didn't work & the room was stuffy. At least it wasn't too hot that day. We complained about the AC 3x. Nothing followed up on. The next day our flight got delayed & we had to check out 7 hours late. They charged us for a full extra day, but then reversed that charge because of the AC was not working. There's not really any place to walk your dog & only a small patch of grass to do business. It's in an industrial area & outside is very loud. Not impressed by the whole experience. I'd give this a pass next time.

  Not Like Other La Quintas

  This was a +$700 stay with our small Havanese. When I arrived late at night, I was handed a sheet of paper. This is where they told me about the $25 day pet fee & said a bark complaint will cost you $250. We stayed in Sept 2022. Then, they sprung the surprise that we don't stay in the hotel, but an annex on the other side of the railroad track because we have a dog! That's literally as well as condition of the location. If I stayed by myself, I would've been very nervous as it seemed unsafe.

  Late at night, there were commercial trucks of all sizes parked around it and 3 men suddenly appeared. No security and dim lighting. With dog and luggage, we made it to our room on the 2nd floor & was informed by my other half, that there were 3 ants in the bathroom on the walls! My dog just wanted to hide & that was unusual behavior. For some reason, she even drooled and never does that either! So, I wiped up the wet spots on the uncarpeted floor & noted the floor was dirty as the tissue came up brown!!! Then, I noticed ants, too, so I stepped on them, called the front office, and mentioned that I might need to be moved. I was tired as it was late and unpacked and then saw more ants coming out of the floor boards. We counted up to 18 that I stepped on & I called & asked to be moved. They 1st offered a room next door that I declined as the ants were coming out of the floor boards on at least 2 sides of the room & in the bathroom. So, they made an exception & moved us to the 1st floor or the main hotel.

  We packed and went. THEN, we learned throughout the night that the headboard of the bed was on the same wall as an exterior door and the first person made a huge amount of noise at 1:30 am. The noise continued thru the night & my dog only barked the first time as we all jumped. At 4:32 am, I called the front office and asked to be moved again as I hadn't slept due to the slamming door. The next day, there was only 1 room that was right next door, but we took it as it was a room away from the exit door. Worked fine, even though closet door was broken shut. Overall, a nightmare of a stay & honestly, the main hotel, although cleaner was really not detail cleaned.

  The 1st room was filthy. The 2nd room had a broken rod for the window shade hidden behind the bathroom door & the carpet looked dirty. The 3rd room had a broken closet door and the carpet could use a cleaning. There is ample area to walk your dog around the hotel, but no specific area. The wifi didn't work well in the annex, but was ok in the main hotel, but not the best. The breakfast is ample. I really wish I could say the room was nice, but we had a lousy experience and had to pay for it, too. I'm also glad that my dog didn't get bark complaints as she was quiet. I wish I had read your reviews so I knew about the annex, but nothing could've prepared me for what we went through.

  Sketchy location, barely dog friendly.

  The elderly lady who checked me in had no personality whatsoever. In fact she wasn’t aware that I had my dog until I mentioned it. Then she gave me a separate pet agreement to fill out as if she was annoyed. The property features two buildings: One in front of railroad tracks, and one in back on the other side of the tracks. I received a room on the back property across the tracks. There was litter everywhere around the property, from beer cans and food containers to old clothes and everything in between. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but as a warning, bring your own body soap and shampoo. The provided soap and shampoo bottles had been reused and had a pubic hair trapped in the threads of the cap when I opened the bottle. It was disgusting. Thankfully I brought my own toiletries. I took photos as proof. The breakfast provided was fine, but nothing special. Compared to other six other hotels I booked using this app, this was the only one that I would not stay at again. The others were much better experiences.

  Loved our stay!

  We, my dog and I, loved the hardwood floors instead of stinky dirty carpet. There was also plenty of room to put his dog bed down. I love traveling with my dog and now I have a hotel I can look forward to staying in in South San Francisco.

  Great room, but no wifi

  WiFi wasn't working during my stay. Otherwise, I would've given them 5 bones. Room was perfect for the dogs otherwise.

  Decent hotel for a decent price

  If you’re on a budget and need somewhere decent to stay with your pups, this is it. Nice to be close to the city. Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Free breakfast! Location is a bit odd and industrial but nothing to fret over, pups loved it and I’d stay here again.

  Great value for price

  Bookers be aware, the property lists that pets can be left unsupervised on property, but when we arrived to check in we had to sign an amended per policy that prohibits animals left alone. Location is right on the rail, and the pet friendly building is separate from the main building, they referred to it as an annex. It’s connected by the street the railroad tracks cross. Satisfied given the rate, but it was an interesting set up.

  My favorite stay of 2020

  My girlfriend and I were looking for a pet friendly hotel. We book something within 24 hours and of course during the pandemic it was difficult. But we got there and the staff was extremely friendly and informative. Not to mention the upgraded our room because I mentioned how it would've been nice to go into a pool. so they gave us a room with a Jacuzzi which I've never had before. This was in August of 2020. so I just wanted to write a review now because ironically my girlfriend I I just spoke about it today. The room was beautiful, it had a kitchenette and very spacious. My dog loved it, and he was zoomies all over LOL.

  Good location

  Stayed here previously and was adequate stay. This time we were on the 2nd floor and as soon as we walked in it smelled like urine. The bathroom needed some repairs. The ac/heater was either too hot or too cold couldn’t regulate it no matter what we did.

  Dogs were comfortable!

  The hotel is right next to the highway but you couldnt hear the traffic, its also right there at the airport and every once in a while you could hear a plane. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very accommodating. The bed was so comfortable it just encompasses you and it lulls you to sleep. Check in was a little slow but that was ok. Parking needs help. All in all if Im ever back in this area again I would definitely stay here again!!

  Great for a short stay

  The pet friendly rooms are in a separate building than most of the guest rooms. Our room was newly remodeled with vinyl floors. Stayed for one night with our small dog. Close to the airport, free shuttle, free breakfast, and no pet fee. Great for a shortstay.

  Would definitely stay here again! Our fur baby was so happy he got to tag along on this trip. Clean/cozy room- this hotel will be our go to when we visit SF.

  It was a great experience for us, we have an Alaskan malemute and it’s hard to find dog friendly places without extra charges. The room it was clean and spacious, Good size bathroom too. We are very happy.

  Grreat Stay 🐶

  The hotel is clean and new, staff very friendly, room was comfortable, clean and well equipped with microwave, refrigerator, etc. Breakfast area is large and food was good. They also have a nice doggy area with nice green grass.
  Location is close to airport and freeway yet it was not noisy. My people companions and my two Fido friends highly recommend.

  Other LaQuintas have been better

  The setup here is kind of weird--the pet friendly rooms are in a separate building behind a fence and across railroad tracks. The room was quite nice, but the bathroom fan was extremely loud. Ice machines on 3 of 4 floors didn't work. Guest laundry was nice and clean, but pricey. The day I left, I came back to the room to get the rest of my stuff and the door was hanging open--housekeeping was in there and had started, even though I obviously still had stuff in the room. Parking lot lights shone right in the window--had to use the blackout curtains. Room was beautiful, though!
