We were passing through DC with 3 adults and 2 large dogs in a large truck with bikes on the back and the Kimpton Hotel Monaco made it easy! We got in on Friday night and we’re able to walk the dogs to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building, & White House easily from this hotel. We felt safe and could not have been happier with parking, staff, and our roomy space. So many choices for cute coffee shops and meals the next day. Absolutely the best choice.

The employees here are the best. Every time they see you they interact in a positive manner. So refreshing in today's world. I can’t say enough about them. They loved my girls and showed great care and attention. I would stay here again 100%. The room was huge. They actually put a dog bed and bowls in my room. I know they say that at many Kimptons but this is the first time I have ever actually had it in my room. BTW on the side street where the restaurant entrance for Dirty Habit is, there is parking across the street. It was much more affordable than valet.

The hotel was beautiful, and centrally located within walking distance to all of the monuments and museums. The staff was extremely dog-friendly! There was no extra charge for pets either, which was great, and you can have more than one dog. But yu do have to sign a pet agreement when you check in that states all of the items they can charge you for after you leave - pet damage, extra cleaning, etc. The one that concerned me the most was that if the pet was noisy and other hotel guests complained, not only would you be asked to leave, but you might have to pay for their rooms as well if they were inconvenienced. Thankfully both of our dogs were extremely quiet.

Close walking distance to the mall, White House and Capitol Building. Provided dog bowl on request. Poor room service options and no vending machines. Smallish room for the price. Need to walk a couple blocks to find grass. Ok for a 2 night stay, wouldn't recommend longer.

We had the best stay ever at this hotel with our Labrador retriever and Jack Russell. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and this is the first place we’ve stayed that was actually dog friendly and not just ok with dogs. We were able to leave the dogs in the room to walk to dinner and the museums, they have bikes you can borrow, wine in the afternoons, a restaurant with brunch on the weekends (which was delicious), and are within walking distance of everything. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend (and booking though BringFido was a breeze)!

VERY welcoming staff, pet friendly to the max (a water bowl, toy and pet bed were waiting in the room when we checked in), great location for getting to sights and museums. While our Berner spent has early life in Manhattan and will do his business anywhere there is mulch, grass or gravel - there is not much green space nearby if your pet needs a grassy surface to inspire him or her. We really enjoyed our stay and will head back to the Kimpton when we are in town...

The hotel location is great and the room was very comfortable. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no nearby green space to walk or potty the dogs.

My husband and I stayed oovernight on July 8th and from the moment we walked to the door, we were treated with exceptional service. The room was already set with dog bowls and a bed. We stayed in the Monte Carlo suite and it did not disappoint. Very spacious and we were at the end of the hallway which was great, especially for a noise sensitive bulldog. We decided on room service because our dog was tired. The orders came quickly and were delicious. I would definitely stay there again. Paid $52 dollars for parking but it was worth it. Used to living in the city so not having a green space for our dog wasnt a big deal. Great experience.
