Luxury Lodge Accomodation
Calgarth which is located at one of the most prestigious award winning holiday parks in the fabulous English Lake District.
Our minimum booking is for a 3 night visit (unless we have an occasional 2 night gap available).
Our privately owned lodge is our pride and joy and we always go "the extra mile" to ensure that our guests have a wonderful and memorable stay and will want to return for many years to come.
The lodge is located on a very exclusive and quite part of White Cross Bay Park and it is surrounded by other privately owned properties just at the edge of the woodland walk down to the banks of Lake Windermere just a two minute stroll away.
Well behaved dogs are always welcome. (the woodland walks are perfect dog walks).
The luxury lodge has guest controlled gas central heating throughout all rooms.
It has a very well equipped kitchen comprising of:
A four ring gas hob and a separate electric oven/grill, a full size fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and microwave and a sink with hot and cold water. All dishes, pots and pans and cutlery etc are provided and there is an electric kettle and a four slice toaster too.
The very comfortable lounge has a "L shaped" sofa and foot stool and a nest of tables and mood lighting. There is a large screen TV which is wall mounted above the feature fireplace also a DVD player .
The lounge has double opening patio doors which lead out onto the large decking area where you will find outdoor furniture with two tables and seating for six people.
The decking is gated at both ends.
parking for one or two average size cars is right outside the lodge.
The rest of the accommodation is made up of:
A separate shower room: With full size shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1: With a very comfortable double bed and all fresh linen provided just before your arrival, a wall mounted TV, a good range of fitted units and en-suite with shower cubicle, wash basin, WC.
Bedroom 2: With two adult size single beds (and again fresh linen before your arrival) and fitted units and a wall mounted TV.
there is a travel cot and high chair provided for our younger guests and there is plenty of room in the double bedroom to accommodate the cot.
Please note: you will need to provide your own towels and personal effects (soaps etc).
Outside: Private parking. Decked area with seating and a bike storage shed.
The holiday park has its own bar/restaurant and entertainment centre with free entry for guests, also there is an indoor heated swimming pool, Gym and sauna which require a pass to enter. . Each pass purchased lasts for the full duration of your holiday. The pass is optional and can be purchased at the reception office if required. Please note; This is a charge made by White Cross Holiday Park and Marina and NOT by the owners of this rental property. At peak times you may need to book a slot for use of the swimming pool which can be done at the holiday park's reception desk.
It is just a gentle five minute stroll to the site facilities which include an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, restaurant, bar, amusements, takeaway and a shop. There is an excellent children s fully staffed activity centre, also a marina and outdoor play areas.
There is free WIFI across the site which is prided by White Cross Bay Holiday Park but it can be a bit hit and miss at times and is often unreliable.. Free view tv channels, including Sky Sports channels 1 & 3, are also available.
White Cross Bay Holiday Park is situated between Windermere and Ambleside, and has an open lakeside frontage with picnic areas. It is both family and dog friendly. Outdoor facilities on site include 2 children s play areas, a multi use games area, marina, woodland walk and beer garden. The location is ideal for walking and cycling.

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. Children will also enjoy The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, where technology brings her characters to life, and Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its Treetop Trek aerial adventure is a short walk away from the site. With destinations including Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, this location is perfect for a Lake District holiday at any time of the year.
