We had a great experience at this Red Roof Inn. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was great! But, best of all, our room was perfect and quiet. We had a king bed with a nice sofa sitting area. We will definitely be back!

Good breakfast. Nice and clean. Finding grass for Fido was a challenge. However, Macon has a GREAT leash free dog park (Macon Dog Park) that is close to the hotel.

They are doing some remodeling so I think maybe some of the run down parts will be better. The front desk agent was super nice, she also told me they are redoing the outside area which will have more grassy area. But in general the room was old and I killed a baby roach in the bathroom. I would not stay here more than one night which is all we did on a road trip to Florida. I took a chance because of the price but will stick to La Quintas.

The Inn is currently under renovations, the room that we prepaid for appeared to be renovated. We felt like we were in a room from the 1950’s with a Lennox air conditioner system in the room and in the balcony. I should have taken a picture. The Inn was very isolated, in a strip mall where all stores were vacant, could be new, who knows. You wouldn’t ask the front desk as the receptionist had zero personality. The worst part was seeing the fellow in the elevator with a gun in his back pocket. We checked out and went to the Marriot. Paid for two stays for the same night, a sense of comfort and safety was well worth it. I am very disappointed.

There was a great lack of space for dogs to “do their thing” outside. Even though there was construction going on, there should have been an area for them. Price was reasonable, but they need to improve some things.

We were disappointed to discover that there is absolutely no place for dogs to use to go to the bathroom. A pet friendly hotel without accommodations for the pets? Won’t be staying again.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the morning breakfast was very adequate! We would stay here again for the price and no pet fee.

Amazing location right off the interstate. We arrived around 9pm and were welcomed with a very nice front desk staff. Easy check in with no questions asked about size/demeanor of our dog. (we have a very old blind senior pug who barely walks).
When we left in the morning the staff asked us “Did you sleep okay? How was the doggie?” and even asked if we wanted any of the free breakfast wrapped up to go! Southern hospitality at its finest!
This staff was beyond kind.
Hotel wasn’t 5 star. Room was big. But a few “dust bunnies” but nothing to ruin our quick night of rest on our long journey cross country.

Enjoyed our stay here. They offered free coffee in the lobby and a hot breakfast buffet. Though, in my opinion, they should really have staff serving the food and/or hand sanitizer placed around each food station. Given the current pandemic, we opted to forego the hotel breakfast as a result, as it just didn’t seem safe. Overall, we liked that our two dogs (one big, one little) stayed for free without any hassle from staff at check-in. In fact, they seemed to be very open to pets in general and didn’t make us stay in a “special pet area” or sign a pet policy form. Just keep in mind that it’s hard to find grassy areas near the hotel for pets as it’s located by an abandoned strip mall. Also, there are not a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but UberEats & DoorDash are always an option. All in all, we would definitely stay here again though.

Really, very little space for your pet to relieve himself...small area where the shrubs are growing in a two foot wide way partially surrounding the building...the rest is parking lot.
