Our stay at Modern Hotel was great. It was very dog friendly. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, the decor was hip (and modern, as you’d hope and expect from the name!), good location in Boise, delicious complimentary breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice, quality toiletry products, and all staff seemed to very much enjoy having dogs stay there.

We stayed with two dogs. They made us a sign some onerous warning as to what would happen if our dogs made a noise, including impounding. There should have been a people or road noise similar provision. A very busy street with lots of road noise and the walls are not well insulated so the wedding party guests bursting in around 2am causing a massive ruckus triggering our dogs to bark. Bar and breakfast is totally underwhelming. We won’t be back.

We loved this modern hotel. Cute and updated rooms, albeit a bit small compared to 1 and 2 star chains, but still a great stay. The food/courtyard seating area is comfortable and food is GREAT. Staff super friendly. There are two small grassy areas to the side of the building with a poo bag tower but they are really small. We walked our girl around the city to get some views and other grassy areas for her. While there weren’t too many, to be expected I suppose, we would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great experience and I will not hesitate to return, and/or put up my guests there when they come to visit me in Boise. I just purchased a home in Meridian, so will need a place just like this for visitors.

Comfortable rooms, great mid century design, and a nice dinner after a long day on the road. There is not a lot of green space near the motel, but pups enjoyed their stay also.

We really enjoyed our stay at Modern Hotel. Their staff was very friendly to us and our pups. We had planned to walk downtown to have dinner, but ended up returning to Modern for a delicious meal on their heated patio. Thank you!

We stayed for 2 Nights on a long car trip. Roscoe loved going into the office and greeting the staff. They were always friendly to him. It was getting a little cold, and we could sit outside around the fire pits with him. In the morning we sat outside to have breakfast with him. The rooms were nice. The shower was amazing with a rainfall showerhead. Small convert Travel Lodge. Modern and fun. Staff were the best part. Try their yogurt, granola parfait for breakfast! Homemade granola!

This hotel is conveniently located close to downtown Boise. The rooms were nice and they were very accommodating to our dog. The rooms were very clean..the only negative is that they are a little small, we had a King room, but the bathroom was large and spacious. A great place to stay in Boise with a dog.

The Modern is a really cute boutique hotel walking distance from anything you want to get into. Comfy room with a courtyard right out your door. It can be a little loud at night since the bar is open until midnight but quickly quiets down.

I highly recommend staying at The Modern for those traveling with a dog. Our suite, #227 was spacious and comfortable. We were able to sit outside with our dog at the hotel’s restaurant for the complimentary continental breakfast and for happy hour. Parking is free and the hotel is very easy walking distance from everything in downtown Boise. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

On a recent road trip through Boise we stayed with our terrier at the Modern. They gave Buster a treat upon check-in! It was a great experience with a pet. Motel-style hotel making outside access easy. Good walking streets all around. Definitely recommend with a dog!
