      Very accommodating to dogs.

      Great place for dogs

      The cottage was perfect. Enough room for the dog and I to move around and far enough away from the neighboring cottages that I did not worry about him barking if I went out to the car. The park itself is lovely with many activities available. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

      Rustic, quaint peaceful setting.

      Rustic, quaint peaceful setting. Loved the Balcony that overlooked the wooded Forrest. Great place to stay if you enjoy the woodsy-cabin type of atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

      Cottages

      Upon arrival the lodge where we had a reservation had experienced severe water damage. They put us in a cottage next to campground which was delightful. They apologized for needing to move a which was no sacrifice at all. Our standard poodle loved having lots of room to run, walk, explore. The cottage was very sweet. We went to come back in the summer. A great place for hiking, taking it easy, enjoying the out of doors.

      Friendly lodge

      Staff was friendly and lodge was nice. A lot of other families with dogs were around. Also a breakfast buffet was included on Saturday/Sunday at the lodge restaurant. No dogs allowed, but we crated our boys while we ate. Overall a good vacation experience. Only complaint about room was it had a leak around the bathroom faucet that left a puddle all over the counter top. Not a lot to do in Carrollton, but Madison is about a 15/20 minute drive and Louisville is only another 40/45 minutes away.
