Description
The Open Hearth Inn has many different lodging options. We have three Bed and Breakfast suites in a 200-year-old New England Cape. All B and B suites have a living room bedroom and full bathroom with tasteful antique appointments and include a gourmet breakfast in the Inn*s original kitchen with huge open-hearth fireplace. The motel rooms are very spacious with two double-size beds all with microwave refrigerator and coffee pot; they all have a futon couch that can be made up to accommodate a large family. The seasonal cottages are very quaint and cozy with old-fashioned knotty pine board paneling and antique appointments. The cottages are primarily double occupancy with queen-size beds or two double beds. Larger groups or families may have to use two cottages. The two efficiency apartments have full kitchens and are one-bedroom fully furnished with full baths. One apartment has a fireplace. The apartments are in high demand and are often booked well in advance for the full season. We have a large Garden Room with six-person Jacuzzi tub for our guests that is very popular after a long day of hiking biking sailing kayaking etc on the Maine coast. There is an Antique shop on premises. A large fancy and realistic golf putting green is available for our guests (kick the owner off if he*s always there) and kayak tours and instruction are available daily for seeing the beautiful coast of Maine at sea level.
