We recently stayed at Chateau on the Lake Resort (CLR) for a week with our Cavalier. We chose this hotel because that advertised as being pet friendly. Well… they are but… for a extremely high and hidden price.
We checked in with our dog in tow (obvious right), we’re assigned a room and headed up to the 9th floor. Ugh with a pet, but whatever. We enjoyed our stay well enough but when we got home, SURPRISE!
We were charged an additional $250 because we were placed in a non-pet room. We are disputing this charge now along with several other hidden “fees." Watch out for the bait and switch at this place. - SaraApr 26, 2021Beautiful Views! Pet Friendly!
We stays here in April 2021 with our two smaller dogs. The resort was very nice, rooms upkept and clean. Very pet friendly nice staff. Pets aren't allowed in restaurants but you can order at the bar or hostest stand and then take the food outside or to you rooms to eat. Beautiful views and pretty lobby. Easy parking and lots of green space around to take dogs out too!

Hotel staff very friendly. My Chi received complimentary poo bags with a nice bag holder plus a bag of treats. Dog not allowed on pool deck or 1st floor or restaurants, but can go everywhere else. Chateau is very expansive. Miles of roads to walk dog and get fresh air. People so friendly. Excellent amenities. Rooms are soundproof, so quiet. Branson was a blast. Hope to return again someday. 5 bones. Outstanding stay.

This hotel is quite the gem. We had a standard pet room (2 Queen beds) on the pet floor ("3rd floor", really the 2nd). The room was very spacious (lots of room for our crates). Also had a huge bathroom with a real door (hard to find these days). The room was also very well sound proofed (so our dogs didn't freak out when people walked by) and easy to access by stairs or elevator. The room service was excellent (especially the wings...) and fairly priced! The staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel itself is huge -- lots of dining options and amenities. The waterfalls on the bottom level helped create a nice ambient noise in the hotel. Plus, they had nice doggie treats and bags on check in. 5 bones!

Nice to have upscale options when traveling with our dog. Chateau has yummy food (dog not allowed on fine dining patio but welcomed in outdoor bar area), nice lake view, friendly staff, comfy beds, doggy treat bags at check in. We’ll be back!

Safe Stay: Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Hand sanitizer is provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
