Columbus Inn and Suites is in the heart of horse country six miles from the Equestrian Nature Center home of Tryon Spring and Fall Steeplechase. It is approximately 25 miles from the airport. For the recreationally inclined there is an outdoor pool on site with lounging area. The hotel also offers ice/vending machines 24-hour front desk an acre of free parking and free local calls. Pets are allowed. Columbus Inn and Suites is situated 40 miles from Biltmore House and 1 1/2 hours from major ski resorts. Tryon Fine Arts Center hosts sculptors painters and craftsmen from all over Western North Carolina. Two major golf courses and country clubs are within ten miles. It is also eight miles to Green River which has hunting and fishing privileges. Each room has air-conditioning AM/FM clock radio hairdryer and cable television.
