Very clean and comfortable, good-sized rooms - even though they are carpeted, there is NO pet smell at all. Microwave and fridge with little freezer section. There are a few stairs to go outside the side entrance, which may be difficult to manage with a small dog, but you can also walk directly out the main entrance to grassy areas. Great location to hop on the highway to get everywhere in this scenic region. Good little supermarket right down street from hotel in little town of Franconia - can get ready-made sandwiches there for picnics. Great brewery with good food in town too, and it’s a short drive up highway to Littleton, where there are several restaurants and a scenic covered bridge.

Pet friendly rooms located close to a side entrance for quick "potty" runs. It was very quiet the week we were there because of COVID-19 travel restrictions. Beautiful indoor pool. Great views.

We were planning an early morning hike off the Kangamagus with our dog. Decided to stay the night before at the Best Western. I have to admit my initial impression when I opened the door to the hotel lobby/check-in wasn’t great. Smelled musty, like the rug needed a major cleaning, not just bottles of Fabreze being sprayed at night. However, my trepidation was soon alleviated. The lady who checked us in was very pleasant and thorough. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The beds proved to be very comfortable and breakfast the next morning was good. We enjoyed bacon, eggs and hash browns and the husband also helped himself to waffles. Coffee in the lobby was excellent and is available 24/7. Only minor issue was that the dog couldn’t ever be left alone in the hotel room, whether crated or not. I get it, but most hotels are not that strict. All in all, it was a good start to a great day of hiking.

The staff was very friendly and the room had a cozy mountain cottage feel to it. It was clean and had a nice spot to walk our fur baby.

This place is nothing fancy but was clean and quite adequate for our needs. For a little more money, you can get a room with a Mountain View. Located in the White Mountains, it is convenient to cute towns, hiking trails and lakes. The staff are friendly and dogs are welcome.
