- DebraMar 2, 2020Inexpensive and great location
Nice clean room with all the amenities, good location next to downtown Santa Fe, with a river walk trail very close by. Only issue was the in-room heater -- the rooms were left unheated until occupied. I turned on the heater on max when I arrived but it was not very powerful and didn't warm the room until nearly the next morning. I literally slept with my clothes, mittens and a hat on. Fortunately I'm used to camping so not a deal-breaker for me. :)

Although the hotel was located in a great location there was no area for our dog to go out (no grass that we found) it was $10 for parking on top of everything else and our bathroom window was stuck open..which made me feel uneasy AND it was 18 degrees outside. The room was decent but really needed some updating.

Location is the saving grace of this place, plus the fact that they allow one to bring the pup. The room we stayed in was possibly the oldest one and yet to be renovated! I could picture my mother sitting at the 1950's style vanity "fixing her hair". Meanwhile the construction site outside had me worrying about the possibility of getting a screw or broken glass in my tires. Down at the heels, but very close to the plaza and museums in Sta. Fe.

January 2019: Located in the center of town. Restaurants near by accept dogs and the food was great. We were traveling with a 26ft moving truck - hotel had available parking for us. Across the street is a calm brook with paved trail - great for walking the dogs. Motel was as clean as expected- restaurant and lobby under renovations but this did not impact our stay. Our 2 dogs as well as us recommend Garret’s.
