Maybach Lake House - Lakefront
IMPORTANT: The renter must sign a TLUXP Rental Agreement and speak to a TLUXP agent within 48 hours of booking for their reservation to be confirmed.
A 3.8% credit card fee will be added to the total amount due, (excluding the service fee charged by Vrbo), if a credit card is used for payment with TLUXP. This is not reflected in the quote by Vrbo.

Pet Policy
Pets are allowed only at properties that indicate Pets Considered in the amenities tab. If you are planning to bring your pet, please conduct your search specifically for a home that is pet-friendly. Prior written approval is required, and a pet fee applies. Please call our office to inquire about your pet, as homes may have varying policies.
County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.
Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Be Bear Aware
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

How do you want to live when you're in a place like this? Part state park and part personal retreat, Lake Tahoe is iconic, for sure. But when you’re here, you want to make it your own for a time. You want time to slow down and even stop for a while. You want conversation and time to think about it. The home is designed with a balance of open shared space and discrete corners and moments where you can truly withdraw with your thoughts.
The kitchen for example is spacious with a two of everything approach (dishwashers, sinks, refrigerators) and a powerful fan over the six-burner Wolf range and grill. The outdoor grill won't need a fan of course and you have the choice of two large outdoor tables, the indoor kitchen counter space, the bar area or the dining table to gather your tribe for meals.
For more privacy there’s the upstairs kitchenette and its discrete Juliet patio perfect for smaller groups. You can also gather for drinks around the gas fire pit on cold evenings or when you want a break from gazing at the lake.
There are two king bedroom suites in the guest wing, both with direct lake views, full baths, and balconies. There is also a bunk room with a large 65” television with its own bath that sleeps six. The guest wing features a second-floor lounge & kitchenette complete with sink, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, washer & dryer, and coffee maker. This is the perfect place to break out the laptop and get some work done in privacy while still keeping an eye on the about-the-house activities. A double glass sliding door opens from here to a lake view balcony.
The ground floor guest wing king suite blends without a seam into the all-mahogany flooring and is wheelchair friendly with both a rain shower and generous bathtub. It opens directly to the courtyard with its hot tub and fire pit. The upstairs suite is almost identical but features a deep greek style soaking tub.
Both suites have built-in closets and ultra-modern Ortal gas fireplaces.
The spectacular outdoor courtyard features a built-in outdoor barbecue, eight-person jacuzzi, ironwood patio, stacked rock gas fire pit, ambient lighting, grassy lounge/play area and blue mare stone outdoor barbecue area with 12-person table. Everything needed for the perfect outdoor dining and lounge experience. This is the ideal place to spend time on warm evenings or when the wind picks up in the lakeside of the house.
