As part of Pets Are Welcome At Sonesta (PAWS), beds, bowls, waterproof mats, and treats are provided at check-in. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property. Cats are not accepted. This place was super pet friendly. My dog was allowed everywhere on the resort except the pool. She was even allowed to walk to the coffee shop with me and the shop downstairs.

The Sonesta resort is beautiful. We had a corner room which was huge and comfortable, and quiet. We ate dinner on the terrace the first night and our dog was allowed to sit at the table with us. Everyone is so welcoming to our dog. We enjoyed walks on the beach, on the trails and renting bikes. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was a surprise in that it was really nicely laid out, close to the beach and dog friendly. We only stayed one night, however, we agreed to return during warmer weather to use the pool and swim in the ocean. The guests were friendly and wanted to pet our pup (which she loved). We felt comfortable in the lobby area having a beverage with the pup (inside and out). Plenty of outside seating away from the pool (dog not allowed) and waste bags available too.

The dog-friendly rooms and bathrooms are large and very comfortable for us and our fur baby. It's such a beautiful, peaceful resort with everything you need. Restaurants, activities, easy access to the beach and lots of landscaped areas for walking. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

This was our first time traveling with a dog. Although my preferred hotel is Marriott, that chain does not allow dogs particularly large ones. We booked the Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head for three nights. The trip was flawless. Our 80 pound Olde English Bulldog was welcome everywhere except indoor restaurants and pool area. The first floor room made it easy to walk her. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach where she could run free from after 5pm and before 10am (during high season). Staff was cordial and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.

Loved this place! We used to stay at another resort in Hilton Head, but fell in love with this place and will always stay here in the future! The employees are so kind and they loved our two dogs!!

The bathroom that we had was quite disgusting and very much in need of a makeover. There were no treats or anything special left for our puppy. The in-room dining was also not operating and I was told it was because of the pandemic. That was seriously a ridiculous excuse since the rest of the resort was operating back to normal.

I enjoyed my room. It was easy to go in and out with my dog. I had a view of the courtyard/pool. The beach was easy to get to and there were many people who also had their dog here.

Resort was beautiful and an amazing beach. We were given a suite which was nice and spacious with our dog. The beach was perfect to take the dog out for a run as it’s flat, wide and packed sand. Lots of people on the beach with dogs, some off leash (it was December). Also a lot of walking and bike paths which were great for walking the dog.
