Previously stayed at the BW+ in Westgate NC near the Battleship NC, which was really nice and super clean. This place is a much older property that was updated with new flooring and paint, but bathroom was not updated, and the place had that funky old hotel smell. I feel it was overpriced by about 30% compared to other places. The breakfast was good, and all the rooms are ground floor with outside doors, so great for pets. There's also a bunch of stray cats behind the 200 building, which may distract your dog from doing their business in the designated pet relief area.

We have stayed at this hotel several times while traveling from Florida. It is conveniently located off Highway 95. All the rooms are ground level and face the parking lot. It is very accessible to load and unload your car. There are several lovely areas to walk your fur babies. It is also next to a golf course. The rooms are not fancy, but, they are very clean! The hot breakfast was great! And, the ladies working the breakfast room were so friendly! Don’t forget to tip them! They work very hard to make sure everyone has a delicious breakfast! We can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Also, there is an excellent restaurant called Captain’s Quarters, right next door!

Excellent location (right off of 95). We travel with our doggies from Florida to DE; Santee is halfway for us and the best part of the stay was all of the grass for walking the doggies. Best dog walking hotel we have stayed at and we do this 6-8 times per year. We parked our car right outside of the room so it was an easy load/unload for all of our “dog stuff.” Room was clean. Beds were high (only issue), but still 5 bones!!

Highly recommend the Best Western is you need a place to stay with your pup. Right off 95, clean, nice dog walking area, and great breakfast. This is our go-to stop when traveling back and forth to Florida.

The room was clean and functional as one would expect. The AC worked well and wasn’t noises. It was convenient to get our dog out for a walk in a grassy area. And breakfast was very good. Price was high and $30 for the dog seemed unreasonable.

Location was great. Great grassy areas to walk Maddie. Right near a golf course. Room was okay. The bed was way too high for our Golden so had to lift her up and worry about her jumping off the bed most of the night, due to the headlights and noise from the next door late night check-ins. The sink in the bathroom was partially blocked. The fan in the room was so loud it mostly blocked out some but not all of the noise. The bathroom was so tiny.

Pros—comfortable bed, great water pressure in shower, microwave and refrigerator in room, good pet area outside. Cons—just didn’t feel that the room was clean. Food left in refrigerator, stain on carpet, and bathroom floor was dirty.

The hotel was very nice, the room was very clean and the breakfast was a big surprise (waffle bar, eggs, sausage, etc.). Was very pleased that the "dog friendly" room was so clean and updated! This is the place that we will stay again when we travel to Florida.

The hotel was very accommodating and the staff was wonderful. They have set of pet friendly rooms with a lighted grass dog walk area just across a small parking areas from the rooms. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is a great place to stop over on a road trip.

I stayed here with my pup on 12/2/21. The room was very comfortable and clean. This is an older property however it has been very well maintained. New carpet and beds in the room. Freshly painted as well. There was also enough space around to walk the dog and give her some exploring time that was away from the road and parking lot. I would definitely stay here again.

We realized we had stayed here before and had no issues in the past. This time around, we again had no issues. The only improvement I would make is a squishy pillow and a magic eraser for the walls. That being said. The actual room was astonishingly clean. I mean, behind tv, top of bed frames, all those spots that are often overlooked. The A/C worked great, the room was quiet and comfortable. Will absolutely stay again.

Clean convenient hotel all first floor rooms with parking directly outside your room. Easy access to dog walk area. Nice restaurant next door.

The room was clean and the breakfast was great! Plenty of green space for the pups. The rooms only offer double beds so with four adult size people and 2 puppies it was a very tight fit. Staff very friendly, would suggest this as a puppy hotel option.

Great location! Right off the freeway, restaurants real close. I stayed in a regular room my parents stayed in a handicap accessible room and they were very pleased!

Easy check in and all rooms ground floor so easy to settle in. Our cat was a little suspicious of the carpet but settled in nicely.

we stopped here on the way to Florida so it was a very convenient location. the access to the room was direct from the parking lot and there was a grassy area so it was easy to take our puppy out for potty breaks and to run around. the room was a decent size for the price and had no carpet which we prefer for our pup. nothing fancy but a good place to sleep for the night!

Comfortable bed and clean room. You park right outside your room and very convenient if you have a dog as the grass is right across from the parking area.

This was the best hotel room that we have stayed in when traveling with pets! The room and bathroom were spotless. Also updated and quite large with a comfortable bed and a desk and recliner. There is no carpet to worry about. I would definitely recommend staying here and will return the next time we are in the area.

I needed a place to stay on my drive back to Pennsylvania from Florida. This was the first time I ever stayed at a hotel with my dog. The location and the hotel were perfect. There were several grassy areas right near the room to take out my dog. The room was totally clean and comfortable. I’ll definitely use this again as my stopping point heading north and south.

We only stayed one night, but that was enough. As we checked in, we were notified that there was a water pressure problem and that the water would be turned off at 9 am. The pet friendly rooms are on the far side of a different building. There seemed to be a slight odor in the room (may have been cleaner, idk). The sheets and blankets were rough.

Very nice hotel with a great area to walk the dogs. Pet fee was $20 a night for each pet but well worth it. Would recommend this hotel for any pet owner.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Convenient first floor pet rooms with units open directly to parking area, no going through lobby. Good bar and restaurant right on property. Highly recommended.

A perfect stop with our Lab. Though an older facility, it has been nicely updated, is very clean, and staff is very friendly. We love having our own exterior door. And there was a lot of grass for walking..
