  Room had a weird smell

  Room was small and had a strong smell of cleaning chemicals. We travel with two small dogs and find most pet-friendly hotel rooms smell bad.

  Room was a bit dated

  Night table lamps had receptacles but they did not work. Both my wife and I used cpap machines so a bit of a challenge. Breakfast offerings more plentiful than other hotels. The attendant was on top of everything but hot items were only lukewarm, thank goodness for a microwave oven. This is a regular overnight stop on our trips to and from Florida and we will return.

  Don’t bother

  Place is really run down. No elevator, towels are like napkins, not very clean. Very depressed area.

  Rooms were dated and cramped but clean. Large grassy area for dogs. Ruby Tuesday right beside hotel so easy to get takeout to bring back to room. Pets are not allowed in lobby where breakfast is served so had to bring it back to room. Good motel if you have a dog but wouldn’t stay there otherwise.

  Excellent Stay

  Although the hotel and room are older, we had a very comfortable stay. Some noise from the highway. Ruby Tuesday located in same area. Good breakfast. Would stay here again.

  Great location

  The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Ruby Tuesday was in front of the hotel, which was great for carry out. The place was surface clean. I would stay here again. Lots of grass to walk the dog.

  Carpet had holes, room had an odor. The room is extremely dated. The outside area for the dogs was very nice.

  Clean room but depressed neighborhood

  A little outdated but clean overall. Nice breakfast in the morning. Heard around 9 rounds of gunshots in the middle of the night that was concerning.

  Not a great traveling stop

  This hotel is especially unfriendly to older people and disabled people. Parking is an issue. There are also stairs in the "pet friendly" area of the hotel. More stairs to the restaurants. The quality of the food is not worth the trip to the restaurant. The hotel also messed up our reservation with no apologies. Others at the check-in desk were having the same problems. The only plus is the clean room and the housekeeping staff. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful.

  Great stop right off 95

  Quiet location, near amenities. However, room had a lot of wear: frayed carpeting, dirty countertops, and a huge gap in bottom of door for insects or critters to get in. Other than that, this would have been five bones.

  Great Location

  Right off of 95. The place is clean but a little dated with a friendly efficient staff. A decent breakfast is included. Nothing fancy, for the price it is a nice spot to spend the night while traveling with our furry friend. I’m only giving it 4 bones because we weren’t told the pool was closed when we checked in.

  Great location

  Easy off, easy on the highway. Bed comfortable but unsafe on right side facing head. Frame had 2 extensions that jutted out, making it easy to bump your lower legs. Sheets had holes. Clean room in quiet location, but our Max must have had a problem with it, because he was restless and growling much of the night.

  Great for dogs

  Our room was small and the carpet felt dirty. The room had been heavily smoked in and as a result we could not get a good nights sleep which is important when driving up North. Great set up for the dog though and I’m sure the hotel would have changed rooms for us had we asked but it was too late for us to try.

  Adequate for an overnight stay

  The room was on the smallish side and the bathtub/shower needs to be updated. On the plus side, our room was situated close by a very large grassy area with a pet station for pet business.

  Horrible!

  If I could give zero bones I would! Stopped because they said pet friendly well Do not even bother, drive 30 more minutes down the road to the Santee Location. This location was seedy, there were roaches inside and even outside crawling on the walls!! The room we got was supposed to be a suite, it was run down and just unclean feeling. The gave us a refund and we left. Would not recommend.

  Great experience

  We were traveling with two little dogs. Lots of grassy area for them to romp and do their business. The room was clean and located on the first floor. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. Lovely breakfast with cheery server. All in all a great experience for four weary travelers!

  Super Close To 95, Great Breakfast

  First of all, the breakfast woman, Joanne is an absolute asset to this hotel. Absolutely wonderful, I’m giving it in extra star just for her. Everything else was fine, I was nervous about roaches after reading the reviews but our room was bug free. It is not the most immaculate room ever but everything was definitely cleaned. It’s mostly that the buildings could use some renovations. Comfortable beds and pillows. Decent price, decent sized rooms, especially considering that they are dog friendly. Big bonus- large area out back and around the side to walk your dog. I would stay there again.

  Great Customer Service

  From the front desk to the bubbly breakfast lady, this place was surprisingly on point with service. We had no issues with our reservation while checking in/out and were given a discount since king rooms were no longer available. The room was clean, and it was nice and quiet. We saw one little stink bug crawling on the wall, but we quickly grabbed it and threw it outside. The running water is soft but clean and does not smell. No other issues with bugs or room temp. We ordered takeout from Ruby Tuesday’s - not that great, but we were hungry. Convenient little area with gas station, and the I-95 ramp is right there so you can quickly get back on the road. Our stay was great for the price. There are lots of grassy areas for your pup. Highly recommend this spot if you’re bringing Fido!

  Property gone down

  Have stayed here several times. This time it is poor. Mold in bathroom, floor not vacuumed, dust buildup on curtains. NO INTERNET - they are working on it. Noisy a/c. Cats roaming try to get into room and car. Find somewhere else!

  Tired lady found a best Best Western

  It was late, after 11:00 pm, when I stopped at this Best Western. The previous town's hotels were booked and I was real tired when I got here. When the gentleman who greeted me said they had rooms, I was pretty elated. I usually look for Best Western when traveling because of their pet friendly rating plus I've stayed at them on road trips from CA to NC to FL and have never had a bad experience. The gentleman assisting me this night in SC was pleasant, professional and seemed very sincere. I'm not sure he was born in this country but he sure had the "Yes, Ma'am" down- love that! He made the check in fast and easy and made sure I got a room on the 1st floor- as I explained I have an issue with stairs.(Took a tumble some years ago and it just stayed with me!) Even though the room had 2 beds instead of 1, he gave me the same rate. I was charged a nominal pet fee of $15 but the best thing about this hotel is the big grassy area with trees (and a doggie waste facility) where my standard poodle could get her morning exercise! That's important for taking long driving trips. Kudos to this Best Western!
