We were a little concerned about noise as Dalhart is a busy place for trucks and trains, but we did not find any issue. Breakfast was good. The hotel had been spruced up not too long ago. The rooms were clean as well as the grounds. We would stay again.

Lots of people staying here with their dogs. The staff was friendly and eagerly greeted my dogs and me. It is close to a major road. I loved the upgraded room that I picked so I had a sofa for the girls and myself.

Easy access, very clean, nice outside area for Fido on leash, great breakfast and staff is amazing. Upon check-in, manager only charged for one dog and discounted my initial reservation through BringFido by $45 and offered a variety of restaurants for dinner that delivered or we could visit.

Room was fine; check-in was friendly. The well-lit outdoor dog area had leftover construction materials, a hole in a fence leading to a railyard and countless turds. We were grateful for the rest but wouldn’t recommend this to friends. We hope to see it improve in the future.

This La Quinta was very accommodating for our dog! Plenty of room, and no sign whatsoever that a previous canine had occupied the room! I would recommend this for anybody traveling in Texas with a dog!

Bathrooms were pretty gross. No insulation in any walls. Could here every car door open and close in the parking lot. We also had a room directly above check-in so could here people coming in and out all night, on the elevator and stairs. This is our first time bringing a dog on a trip and needed to find dog friendly hotel so maybe I've just grown accustomed to nicer brand hotels, but for the money I would say look elsewhere.

Just a perfect place for man and dog. Front desk help were so kind. It is the most expensive but worth it after a long drive through windy Texas. Just bring your own bags for poop pick up. Limited breakfast because of covid restrictions. .

The hotel itself was great. Clean room, quiet, polite staff. There was a decent yard for dogs, But I am not sure anyone ever picks up after tier dog. It was extremely gross.

Check-in and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. The dog areas have been cleaned up and looked really nice. Glad we gave this place another chance. We definitely will stay here again.

This was a typical La Quinta stay; the rooms were nice and clean but pricey. No breakfast due to Covid-19 and front desk was understaffed(1-person) at check-in so trying to check people in and handle the phones.

after a long night of traveling my husband and 3 dogs ( 2 Danes and a frenchie) stopped here to rest our heads. staff was friendly room was exceptionally clean and roomy. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the first time I have used BringFido app, and was so excited when I was able to find hotel options quickly and easily. On a 1200 mile drive with a very late in the day start, I found a hotel with a reasonable rate and no pet fee. I arrived at about 12:30 am and checked in. I was not asked for any room preference, so I assumed I must have been too late to have a choice, but it took quite a while for the girl at the desk to find a room for me. Once I received a key card and had moved into our room (my dog only weighs 14 lb), I was able to get to bed about 1:15am. At 4:30am I was suddenly awakened by a loud banging exit door, which I was right next to. This was followed by many more, so it was impossible to sleep & I had to get up and get ready to drive another 800 miles. I had a few minutes to eat in the breakfast room and the selection was fair, but the sausage patties, that had obviously been, were missing. I went across the hall to ask the lady who had checked me in, if we could get more sausages to go with the eggs, and she told me, that "the lady who makes those it not here now and I do not know how.. this is the second time I have stayed at a La quinta hotel that I have been very unimpresed. They do not seen to value the customer. So not getting to sleep due to poor sound insulation in the rooms and especially the exit door, is one thing, but missing a huge part of my breakfast because someone was too lazy to come back in, or at least show the other employees what to do in a case like this. I had stayed at Nursanickle (Best Western) in Dalhart before, and they are just great with guests. Before getting the BringFido app, we used to stay with our labrador, and the room s were very comfortable & easy to get to when unloading your car (you did not have to go through the central part of the building while you are checking in. I will probably stay there next time. Other than a freight train that sometimes come through at night , everything is very peaceful and quiet. I will next time be willing to pay an extra fee for my dog. But as for the app, I am so appreciative of it. Many times I have been out on the road with my phone battery discharging, as I am put on multiple holds-----it is frightening. So BringFido is a great tool to help me navigate hotels. Bottom line: I suffered the most because I have sleep issues and being waked repeatedly from 4 in the am is not my idea of a quality hotel. I have a very bad opinion of LA Quinta, from the last times I have stayed there.

The hotel is located on a noisy highway and the pet room was near the side of the building next to the highway. So request another room away from the highway if you can. Also the pet area was dirty from owners or management no picking up after their pets.
