Much like the gemstone, The Pearl of Hatteras is unique, rare, and nestled within nature.
This brand-new, modern, waterfront home is tucked away on an island estuary. Enjoy the walls of windows with magnificent views of the tidal pond and the passing pelicans, herons, and cranes. Listen to the waves as you enjoy coffee from the front porch. You are a 5-minute walk to the beaches of Hatteras, or a 3-minute drive to the ferry to Ocracoke. This contemporary home is a true gem!
The space
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE:

The Pearl of Hatteras is in Hatteras Village, at the end of Hatteras Island. You are a 3-minute drive to the ferry to Ocracoke. In season, you are close to some of the most charming shops, restaurants, and cafés on the island. The Pearl is a 5-minute walk to the beach. You can hear the waves from the porch!

★ BATHROOMS ★
One full bathroom with a rainfall showerhead, bidet insert, essential toiletries, and fresh towels.
One half bath with bidet insert.
Outside shower with hot and cold water.
Guest access
You will have access to the upstairs part of the home (owner storage is downstairs), all the decking, driveway, and yard space. There are red switches on the bottom porches that will turn on access lights for you.
You can access the pond from our home but please note **there is no dock** for the kayaks and paddleboard. We plan to add one in the Fall of 2022. You will need water shoes to “put in” as there are rocks in the pond.
There are no photos yet of the outdoor furniture, as it has been too windy to have it outside. Outdoor furniture photos will be available closer to the summer. We do also have a full outdoor seating set for the downstairs decks.

**Please note** Guests are required to provide a pic of their government-issued ID immediately after booking.
Age requirement: 21 and over to book (Strictly enforced)
★ COVID-19 SANITIZATION ★
We are taking extra cleaning precautions and for this reason early check-ins are not possible at this time. Please follow the check-out instructions posted in your welcome message.
★ NON-SMOKING PROPERTY★
No Smoking on Site: There is no smoking or vaping permitted anywhere on premises. This includes in the front, back, and side yards. Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning.
★ CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PETS ★
If there is evidence of pet waste, an extra fee will come out of your security deposit
★ PETS MUST REMAIN ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES★
Please always keep your dog on a leash.
★ NO PETS IN THE BEDS★
We love our dogs, but please do not allow them to sleep in the beds. If an excess of pet hair is found in the beds, an extra fee may come out of your security deposit.
★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★
We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its condition for future guests and your return visits.
★ THE NEIGHBORHOOD ★
In the off season, the neighborhood is quiet. It gets busier in the summer.
This home is steps away from a nature conservation area and although we have regular preventative pest control, it's possible that a critter might sneak inside. Please help us keep them out by keeping windows & doors closed.
★ KAYAKS AND PADDLEBOARD ★
You have use of two kayaks and one paddleboard. You must sign a waiver for them, even if you decide not to use them.
★ FIREPIT ★
If you use the firepit, please always remain present with it while it is lit. Please extinguish it fully before leaving it. (water hose provided)
★ GRILL ★
Please operate the grill in the driveway only, and not on the decks. Please remain present with it while it is lit and extinguish it fully before leaving it. (water hose provided)
★ CHILDREN ★
Please note that this home is not recommended for children 8 or under, or anyone that has a hard time climbing stairs. There is extensive decking and no barrier to the marsh outside.
★ HEAT AND A/C ★
Please remember to keep doors and windows closed when the heat or AC are in use. Please do not lower the thermostat below 70 degrees while using the AC. Any lower setting will cause the AC to freeze and stop functioning. We are on a septic system, PLEASE no grease in the drains and do not overload the toilets with paper. Please place all extra tissues, feminine products, and anything other than toilet paper in the trash can.
★ LATE CHECK-INS ★
Late check-ins are totally fine, but please read check-in instructions before 9pm and message us as needed through the Airbnb messenger before 9pm. We are available between 7am-9pm.
