Clean, quiet room. Limited parking. Small area to walk dogs.

We booked the stay for a pet friendly accommodations and requested ground floor for our pets and for my mobility issues. We were given a third floor room. Since there was an elevator we stayed. At approximately 3:45 am, we find out the elevator was not working and was informed that the hotel staff thought it was fixed. Apparently, the elevator was not working before we arrived. This was not mentioned at check-in.
The elevator breaking meant that our pets had to navigate stairs to relieve themselves, and that I had to navigate stairs with mobility issues - not to mention trying to get our things from the 3rd floor. This, of course, would be the same for the other guests also staying. Due to the concerns with trying to get from the 1st to 3rd floors and back should there be an issue like fire or the like, we checked out at 4:00 am after being told that the hotel would not have anyone arrive to fix the elevator until “sometime” the next day. No notices were placed on the elevators to inform the guests that the elevators were not working. In general, there was little concern for the inconvenience involved with the equipment being broken.

We needed to have a mini fridge in our room, and that’s hard to find in Shamrock. Shamrock was the best place midway along our trip, so we settled on Best Western. The place is a little tired looking, but they had a pretty decent breakfast, and they had something of a yard for the dog to relieve herself in. So, overall, pretty decent.

We choose to stay outside the major cities when traveling with our dogs. We’ve found that the big city hotels don’t usually have big enough grassy pet relief areas. This place worked well and was very close to the interstate. The rooms were clean, we felt safe, and it was quiet. Overall I would recommend and would stay here again.

Pricey for the area and 2x more than other hotels nearby. I picked it for pet friendly and having a pool. The pool was not available due to remodeling. They did have a grassy area for pet relief. Comfortable rooms and nice breakfast offerings. The morning staff were more friendly than evening. I just wouldn’t spend that kind of money for a very tired area with little offerings for area restaurants.

The whole building is old and shows its age. Room clean enough but would not shower there. Had to take dog across strewn to find decent grass. This is a dying town, many empty buildings. I suggest you find a different city.

Rooms and breakfast were good. The only downside is a really small pet area; we had to find a field across the street for our larger dogs.

Great stay for 1 night with our Chesapeake. Clean, great price point, friendly staff, good breakfast. There is little to no grassy area for your pet on the property. We walked across the street to an open field. We had no water pressure or noise issues as other people stated. We were impressed enough to seek out BW again for future nights.

Nice hotel clean & comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low. The shower and the wet bar pressure was fine. Most of the satellite tv stations were unavailable. Staff offered us a $10.00 discount. Very limited selection for dining. McDonalds came through.

The only spot for the dog to eliminate was a small 5x5 patch. Also, we had an upstairs room right outside the slowest elevator on the planet. It was tough keeping the dog quiet right with the noise from folks at the elevator.

Hotel seemed very new. Had a nice modern look and was spotless. Front desk person was friendly & helpful. The room was quite large. There was a small grassy area with a pooch pot & bags. We did walk around a side street that wasn’t busy. The only problem is there are no pet rooms on the first floor but there is an elevator

Roomy and comfortable, queen beds and couch were perfect for my Labrador to have space to sleep. Great pool & hot tub and decent breakfast with eggs to order.
