We chose to stay at this motel because it was pet friendly and we were exhausted from driving all day. As soon as we walked into the room we noticed the stains on the carpet, beds and curtains. The bathroom was also gross with rust throughout the shower and dirty towels. As an added disgusting bonus, there was a dirty sock on the floor. Once we complained to the owners, they showed us other room options that were just as bad. Since it was around 1030pm and we were tired, we chose to stay in our room and still received no refund or discount. The owners were rude and argumentative. If you are trying to stop in this area, choose somewhere else to stay!

We were traveling back home from visiting family up north. We had been driving 12 hours and we were tired! Found this place as it takes dogs. DONT Stay here! The rooms are very dirty. We found an old sock on the floor. The bathroom door made loud creaking noises. Stains are everywhere! There was an ironing board set up in the room. It smelled bad too. The list could go on! When we went to complain the owner showed us other rooms that were no better! The only reason why we stayed was because we were so tired from driving! Just want to give everyone a heads up DONT STAY HERE! Absolutely no bones. DISGUSTING I want to give no bones but this won’t let me!!!

The Red Roof Inn in Emporia, VA was clean and safe. We were able to park our car right outside our door. We were there during a heat wave and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was halfway between FL and Massachusetts. Great value! Our 2 dogs were happy so we were happy. There are lots of restaurants and gas stations nearby. There was good access to getting on and off I-95. The hotel gives the rooms with wood laminate to the customers with dogs. The motel seemed full when we left early so make sure you make a reservation. BringFido.com was an excellent resource.
