  This hotel needs to be updated and there was not a lot of space around to walk dog. Affordable and clean, but room had mildew smell.

  Bones for pups in the lobby. Room clean and functional Double beds instead of queens made sleeping tight for two. People hanging in the parking lot drinking on our arrival- no issues but we always find this concerning Pet fee is very reasonable at this facility compared to others in the area. Acceptable for a one night stay, but probably would not choose again!

  Awesome as usual

  We love this hotel. The dog also loves it. We’ve stayed here several times. Room was super clean and staff is friendly and helpful. This time I left behind a valuable item and I called the front desk and they are holding it for me to pick it up on the return trip.

  Totally worth it

  Incredibly comfortable bed, beautiful room with legit mini-kitchen. I didn't hear any other dogs barking, so the walls must be thicker than other hotels.

  Candlewood was great

  Everything was fine with the original reservation, but when I asked to extend the reservation by another night, the hotel said it had to be done thru BringFido. When I contacted the BringFido concierge phone, they explained that adding an extra night would cancel the original reservation it was considered a cancel since it was within a week of my stay. Reserved on another site. The hotel was great and let me stay in the same room. I just had to check out and check back in.

  Truly Dog Friendly

  Nothing fancy. A little tired. Fairly Clean and the staff very dog friendly. Beds were comfortable.

  Great stay, great low pet fee

  Friendly staff, very clean room, super affordable pet fee. We had stayed at another more expensive Candlewood Suites on this trip and had a horrible experience so we were hesitant to book but the price and location were right. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, I was relieved and so grateful it was not like the last. We always get a bedroom suite due to traveling with our one year old and high energy dog so we can all get some sleep.

  It was a great room, super clean, spacious, and I felt comfortable having our toddler on the floor without worrying about what he might touch that hadn’t been cleaned. The dog walking options aren’t great due to lack of sidewalks (no control of that by the hotel, of course) but if you don’t mind walking around in grassy areas near the hotel, it works. I’m sure we’ll stay here again as this is a trip we make a couple times per year to see family. Location is also good for grabbing dinner, picking up travel supplies, and the hotel keeps a jar of dog bones in the lobby 💙 🦴

  Candlewood Suites Winchester

  My husband and I have never stayed at a Candlewood and selected this hotel because we planned to bring our dog. We were so happily surprised at the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was wonderful - nice and large, the king bed was so comfortable too. We appreciated having the fridge, a large desk area and more than enough drawer space. Toiletries provided were one of my favorite brands - JR Watkins. That was a great surprise too. The staff was very courteous and friendly to our pup - there were treats for her at the front desk. We would definitely look for Candlewood the next time we travel with our pups.

  Almost a great stay

  The location was great service was great the room was wonderful very clean very accommodating. Until we woke up the next morning and found black soot coming out of our noses and all over anything plastic in the room. Reported and shown to front desk. We were told the GM would have to get back to us. 😢

  Front Desk reception was very helpful

  Nice room; we had the one with kitchenette, which was helpful when it came time to feed my two dogs as their food requires refrigeration.

  Excellent accommodations

  Very friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff. Efficient check-in and out. Very clean, comfortable and well outfitted room. The kitchenette had everything we needed and was clean and in too working order. Furniture and bedding were clean and comfortable. Hallways and elevator clean, well lit, welcoming and safe. Room was quiet. Best of all, our pets were welcome and the pet fee was very affordable. Overall exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this hotel!

  Five Bones Easily

  Wonderful place to stay. Friendly staff and very clean. Spacious room. Will stay there again when in area. No continental breakfast but not advertised. Downside, refrigerator in the room was very noisy. Hoping it will be fixed.

  Great stay, excellent value

  Our stay couldn't have been better: spacious room with kitchenette, close to I-81 but far enough removed to be quiet, ALL rooms pet friendly, friendly and helpful staff, very fair room price, and only a $12 pet fee. (Space for dog walking is a bit limited, but I'm quibbling here). This is the fourth place we've stayed in Winchester and hands down our favorite, sorry we didn't find it sooner. It's our go-to from now on.

  I would like to give this a 0 rating. I booked this reservation 5 days earlier and when we arrived they did not have a room for us. They overbooked reservations so they made us a reservation elsewhere. We will never go back!

  Great dog-friendly hotel!

  The front desk was super friendly and has a jar of bones ready for your dog when you arrive. The room was super clean. I heard no noise between the rooms, but the highway does give off a bit of noise in the morning. However, I highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again in the future in a heartbeat.

  2nd time we stayed there in last 6 weeks. Both times each time room was very clean & most important did NOT smell like dog or worse cheap deodorizer. Great stay only drawback no Breakfast

  It’s nice that you can leave pets unattended but the potty area is not kept clean (not many owners picking up). Some friendly feral cats on the property. There is a neighborhood behind the hotel for a longer walk.

  Exceeded Expectations

  All the amenities as expected but the staff were above grade !
  Clean facility and room was perfect!
  Although i prefer a firm mattress this was comfortable.
  I would stay again not just for the hotel but the location with access to many food choices.

  Extremely poor front desk worker. Zero ability to check in guests properly. Lied about prices then lied about other hotels in the area accepting pets. STAY AWAY!
