  Convenient

  Very convenient with gas station and grocery store. Can be a little sketchy at night in the empty parking lot out back. But the staff was great and so was the breakfast! The dog run was nice and clean! Small, but does the job!

  I would return

  The staff was nice and the room was clean. It had a bit of dog smell but nothing offensive. I would've expected that since they do have carpet. The only reason for 4 bones is because housekeeping tried to come in @ 10pm. Since we did not expect anyone our dog got protective and would not calm down until he walked the hallway and sniffed around to verify we were safe. His behavior was great, but would've rather not have housekeeping show up unannounced. I did appreciate the picture they took of my pup to add to their showcase of visiting 4 legged guests.

  Nice mountain views

  Close to I-79, lots of fast food options, Kroger and CVS in shopping center. Very clean hotel, but a bit tired. Excellent breakfast with real eggs and sausage (not microwaved), friendly staff, military discount, $25 per pet fee. Small grassy area with doggy station beside hotel, another near Taco Bell, and a large level grassy area behind the old Kmart. Only complaint is the TV was screwed to the dresser and did not swivel to watch from chair or desk; remote stopped working three times, annoying but manageable.

  All around great place and people (especially Jake at the front desk)! He was so helpful and friendly to us and our pups!

  Clean & quiet

  This LaQuinta is a little tired but very clean and quiet. the bed and pillows were very comfortable and a/c was right (not too noisy or blowy). nice staff, good breakfast. could have done with a larger grassy area but it was clean and nicely maintained. Glad LaQuintas are so embracing to critter families.

  Not so pet friendly

  While the place was good for us humans, our furbaby was not even acknowledged. I was skeptical of some of the reviews but they were accurate. The dog walk area is behind the place and not very large at all. They never spoke to nor acknowledge our dog even though she stood in front of them. She did not like the elevator rides either. We were glad we had brought her water bowl because nothing was provided. As stated, everything was fine for humans, not so much for our dog.

  Classy Interior!

  We stayed at other La Quinta locations while we were traveling with our dog, but this one had the nicest lobby and room. Even high traffic areas were kept very clean!

  Sad little hotel by a dejected old mall

  They were very kind to our little Yorkie, though. Also, there was a McDonald’s, a KFC and a Taco Bell next door.

  Not great

  It was old and needed repairs/renovation. Things were clean, but the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and the shower looked very old and not inviting. Dogs are allowed but they didn’t do anything special to make us feel welcome.

  Nice clean room, however the heater was extremely noisy and it rattled.

  Great stay

  This hotel did everything right. We got a clean, comfortable room, good breakfast, and got to enjoy our dog. The staff was attentive to our needs. I would stay here again.

  Getting worse with each stay

  Advertised no pet fee but there is one. Staff was a bunch of young kids on their phones instead of working. Put us on top floor with a pet. Carpet in hallway was very dirty. We will look for another hotel next time.

  Face mask rules don't apply to staff. Ran out of breakfast food at 8:00.

  Just ok

  The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming to my dogs but hotel smelled musty. Thankfully the room was clean but needed updated again. We were unable to close the curtains completely so the parking lot lights shined into our window. There is NOWHERE for dogs to go potty besides Taco Bell’s strip of grass. The area is very run down connecting to a Kmart plaza and parking lines are barely visible. I did not feel safe here.

  It was fine...

  The hotel was clean but a little beat up. Felt like it had been updated but that update was starting wear out. Not much grass except by the Taco Bell next door. The hotel itself is adjacent to a shopping center and a large parking lot. Don’t expect to get the dog out and off-leash for a run. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient to the interstate and was worth a few extra miles to jump off 64 instead of paying more to stay in Charleston. I’ve stayed in nicer places and much worse places. If I am going through that area again I would stay here again.

  Great Stay

  We stoped here just for over night and it was a great stop it had comfortable beds and good breakfast. They were very friendly to our dog and even had treats for him.
