Lake Hollywood Park

Lake Hollywood Park is where the locals bring their dogs for off-leash playtime and socialization under the famous Hollywood sign. Although the park is not fenced and you will see signs stating that dogs should be kept on a leash, you might consider taking the lead from the friendly locals. Those in the know say that only aggressive dogs causing a disturbance are cited for being unleashed. There is a great view of the Hollywood Sign from Lake Hollywood Park, but if you want to get an even closer look, head to Griffith Park afterward. A 6.5-mile hike up the Bronson Canyon Trail will take you to the rear of the Hollywood Sign in less than three hours. Along the way, you’ll also get a look at the ‘bat cave’ from the 1960’s Batman TV show.
