Mold and ROACHES!!

This photo was taken at Quality Inn Savannah Historic District in Savannah, GA. If you are looking for a nice clean place to lay your head at night…. I promise this is not it! Wow is all I can say. We got to Savannah about 5 pm yesterday. Found our hotel and checked in. We had been driving all day and I am coming down sick. I dropped my bags and immediately went to run the hottest shower I could stand for my body aches and to help break up some of the congestion. Upon entering the shower I immediately noticed MOLD everywhere. All along the top of the shower, on the walls…. Everywhere. I have a son who was lung issues and I knew we couldn’t stay in this room. As I was gathering our things I noticed a bug on the floor which turned out to be a cockroach… matter of fact we found 2. There was vomit and what looked like poop on the wall as well which is a biohazard. I immediately called Expedia who I booked through and started the process of trying to get moved to another hotel. They called the Quality Inn and the hotel advised they could move us to another room. About that time the receptionist (Jamie I believe?) called our room and said you can come down here and talk to me and I’ll show you another room. Sure. So I go down and start showing her the pictures of the mold and roaches. She doesn’t seem the least bit interested and takes me to another room. As soon as I walk in I smell cigarette. Won’t work because of my kid. We go to the bathroom and sure enough mold in that shower. She takes a picture of it and sends it to the manager. She also advises me to call experian and let them know that the other room had it too and they don’t have anything else for us so we can get moved. I call experian back and of course they have to call the hotel and confirm. At this time she proceeds to tell experian that we are lying. They don’t have mold or cockroaches and there’s nothing they can do. At this point my mother is pissed and goes down to talk to her while I’m still on the phone trying to find somewhere to go. This time she takes the cup with the cockroaches in it and shows the front desk who then says okay y’all can leave now. No apologies for calling us liars. No remorse. Nothing! Just straight up shitty attitude. I have now sent all of these photos and my complaint to the BBB, Health Department, Experian, and Quality Inns corporate office!! I will also be sending this in to the local news stations because no place should be allowed to operate like this and charge over $100 per night plus an additional $21 per night for parking!!! That’s insane. We have now been relocated to another hotel and upgraded to a family suite on the same street and guess what!? Parking is $10 per day here and the hotel is immaculate. No extra $ out of our pocket either. Do yourself a favor and avoid Quality Inn!
