Giulia Restaurant is a new Italian Restaurant in Green Point. The Owner Maurizio and his Chef Andrea Volpe are arrived from Italy to open this place with purpose to serve customer with a real, traditional and, of course, good Italian food. The place is not so big and so reservation is appreciated, during high season specially. The restaurant is open from 8:30 to 14:30 for breakfast and lunch and from 18:30 to 22:30 for dinner. The restaurant has an outside area in a terrace. Inside, the kitchen is in full view but it is separate by window glass just to reduce noise and food smell. For breakfast the restaurant provide traditional menu with, for example, English breakfast, eggs, salmon and bacon benedict, chili eggs and breakfast smoothie. The lunch is Italian style with homemade pasta with several kind of sauce as beef ragù, carbonara, puttanesca, tomato and basil. Traditional italian "bruschetta" and salads are served as well. For dinner, a la carte menu, features starters, homemade pasta dishes, main course and desserts. Starter includes, for example, seafood salad, "zuppetta di mare" with mussles, calamari, prawns octoputs, tomatoe, basil and toasted bread, baby marrow flan wit parmesan cheese. Choice of homemade pasta dishes include, for example, gnocchi with prawns, leeks and saffron, "carbonara di mare" with calamari, mussles, prawns, octopus, eggs and parmesan cheese, "pappardelle" with ostrich sauce. As main course, customer can choose, for example, fish as calamari alla “gallipolina” with baked crumbed calamari, catch of the day "alla siciliana" with tomato, cappers, olives and anchovies, or meat as "tagliata" sliced beef with coarse salt and grains of pepper. Typical Italian chocolate flan served with pistachio ice cream, "millefoglie" with small layered cake made of puff pastry and served with English cream and mixed berry fruits, creeme brulee with cardamom flavour."
