Felt welcome even with our nervous rescue pup

This photo was taken at The Gettysburger Company in Gettysburg, PA. We had a really good experience at The Gettysburger Company while visiting Gettysburg. The outdoor seating area was a cute little alleyway with about 4 tables and it had a really cozy vibe. We sat at the table right behind the door near the entrance and everything was great.

We ordered our dog the 4 oz unseasoned ground beef from the dog menu and she loved it.

We did have one stressful moment because our dog has some past trauma/anxiety and can get protective sometimes. The waitress reached down and our dog lunged unexpectedly. We were honestly really embarrassed, but the waitress was so kind and understanding about it. She immediately made us feel more comfortable instead of making us feel bad, and we really appreciated that.

Our dog is genuinely very sweet, she just gets nervous in certain situations sometimes, and the staff handled it really well. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back.
