Very friendly staff, they were very sweet to our dog and gave her a treat. Good food, too, perfectly good breakfast spot. They weren’t seating their larger outdoor patio, and we were pretty close to other people and our dog didn’t have much space, so that’s something to consider. Where we were seated (and it was the only available seat at the time) wouldn’t have worked for a very large dog most likely.

We loved Sunny Point Cafe during our trip to Asheville. They had a heated patio where we could eat with our girl Olive which was nice because it was quite chilly out. Olive our pup was given water and some love by the employees and we were checked on frequently. The food was soooo good and we went back again for mimosas which were also yummy! They have a super cute outside area that was so nice to sit in on a sunny day to appreciate the weather. Definitely would go back!

My dog had a wonderful time. The waitress even served her a dog bowl and some water at the same time as we got our drinks. Such a cute place, great food and they collaborate with local gardens as well as their own garden for the weekly specials.
- MariaMay. 3, 2021Our puppy loved it!
the food was delicious and our dog medley was welcomed and given a water bowl. the covered outdoor seating was nice. Only downside was that it was pouring and we had to wait in the rain to order and our dog got drenched.
- CarliFeb. 20, 2021Dog friendly!
Their heated patio is accommodating to dogs which was really nice since it’s a very chilly winter day! Food was ok, but we just got the burger, so could have been more adventurous.
- KimApr. 8, 2020Bella loved Sunny Point!
Besides wonderful food for us and an accommodating wait staff for Bella, she loved the stroll around their gardens in back of the parking lot...magical!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The food is outstanding. My husband and I loved our meals. Super fresh and delicious! They have something for everyone, including our pup! When we arrived, the server brought a bowl of water for our little guy. We ordered him the grilled chicken and he loved it. The staff were amazing! We can’t wait to go back! Our favorite dog friendly restaurant in Asheville.
- TayJun. 4, 2019Super Dog Friendly
I went there with my dog and almost every table around us also had dogs on the patio! There were water bowls at each table and the wait staff regularly refilled them. Food was also delicious!
- JenJun. 1, 2019Patio Only
Dogs are allowed on their outdoor patio, which can get crowded, so keep that in mind if your dog is anxious. The food and bloody marys are the best in AVL!
- BreannaMar. 10, 2019SUPER Dog Friendly!
The staff was awesome to all the dogs. Heated covered patio which was nice because it was cold and rainy. Highly recommend.
- VanJan. 20, 2019Great Food And Accommodations!
Dogs are allowed in the outdoor area and servers are very friendly. The wait might be a little longer for the patio seating but the food makes it worth it.
- SamanthaOct. 18, 2018Fantastic Food And Great For Pups!
Covered patio...put us in a nice corner table where the dogs had room to lay down.
- AmyMore than a year agoFantastic Breakfast!
This place is incredible! Yes, there was about a 15 minute wait for a table, but they have an outside courtyard area with more than enough benches, and coffee & water available! The staff was friendly, the service was awesome. I got the hash—one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! Check their website regarding parking—it was helpful, as there was a little bit of construction going on when we went. It was a little bit of a challenge, but I am so glad that I did not let that stop me from trying this place!
- TammyMay. 6, 2018Good food!
We gave up trying to eat breakfast due to the crowds but didn't have any trouble getting a table for supper. Delicious food and good service!
- MelissaMore than a year agoWow ... the food!!!
The meatloaf and shrimp/grits are OUTSTANDING! Wow, the food was great. We had a heated patio with cover and our pups were treated like customers, too. Really a great experience all-around!

Enjoyed Saturday brunch while vacationing in Asheville. Super dog friendly- more bowls of water offered than our little pooch could handle:). Food was delicious and service was friendly and fun. Be prepared to wait on weekends, but don't fear, free coffee and water waiting, and the hostess is more than happy to deliver a mimosa or bloody under the trees, while you listen to some live music. We will be back with our four legged best friend next year!

We were passing through Asheville on the way home to Florida and decided to search for "Best restaurants in Asheville" and Sunny Point came up on multiple searches. We were thrilled when we found it on the BringFido page as well. The patio is perfect for dogs, lots of space and the server was quick to bring her some water. The food was so delicious (the fries were yummy and the menu items were so original)! The servers were very nice to sydney and all the patrons seemed to enjoy having her there! The restrooms were clean and gender neutral. Overall probably the best place to enjoy some local food with southern charm in the company of your four-legged best friend!

My family including my 2 labs were welcomed, given a bowl of water and served a great meal. The food is amazing with many different choices for different preferences. The friendliness of the staff was over he top. Everyone had to come say hi to my pups and they made sure everything was perfect. We definitely recommend to stop for a bite or you would be missing out.

My boyfriend & I are staying near Asheville for the week (February). Not only is it gorgeous weather, we were able to bring our Blue Heeler on the heated, covered patio with no problems. :) Awesome food, too!

The food was absolutely amazing! I suggest the fruit pie! Very friendly staff. Service is great. Bowls on the patio for the dogs and leash clamps at the tables. So happy with our experience!

We went May 2015 and sat in the covered patio with our Labradoodle, Lumin. The food was very good, the staff very pleasant and the drinks were interesting... ours had edible flowers from their garden on the premises, which our waiter encouraged us to explore. When we are back in the area we will definitely return.

Took me awhile to write this--it is long overdue...We first ate at Sunny Point in May of 2013. We went for the Saturday brunch (with two dogs) and liked it so much we went back that night for supper. We just went again this March (2014) and the food was still wonderful. Had a salad with an apple tart that was so good it was ridiculous. The menu looks like it will be "healthy" (as in not-so-good), but it is just wonderfully-prepared food that is delicious. We have been seated at great tables and the other customers have been wonderful with our dogs. We can't recommend this too highly.

Brought out a water bowl for the dog and food was really good. Only here for the weekend but may go twice
