  Great dog friendly lunch

  Stopped for a late lunch after hiking at Pisgah. Our dog was warmly greeted and a bowl of water was brought for him. There is also a water cooler on the porch for dogs. A gentleman came to the table with 2 Beggin Strips "cause he is a big boy." Food was great and the staff very attentive, but we were most impressed by how our dog was welcomed. Definitely will return and highly recommend.

  Great food and staff!

  We just finished having an amazing dinner here. They were so friendly to our dog Harlan. The food was beyond amazing and loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

  Great Pet Friendly Dining Experience

  We stopped here for an early dinner after a long afternoon out enjoying western NC with our two pups. They could not have been friendlier or more accommodating to us, I think half of the employees must have come out to say hi to our bulldogs. The food was incredible and they also let us order a bowl of hamburger for the pups. They definitely approved!

  Six Girls, 2 Dogs, and a Fine Dine

  Had a wonderful time visiting Brevard, a very dog friendly town. After a nice hike went to Square Root for dinner. our local friend LOVES this restaurant and after our dinner, now loves it more. The whole staff was so friendly and accommodating. Jacob, the GM came out to check on us while we waiter for our table, and Sam, our server was perfectly attentive. The pups were welcome at the outside seating, and there were other pups there too. The food was fantastic. definitely get the Brussel Sprout appetizer. And you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. LOVED it.

  Large dog lunch

  The outdoor patio is very nice, but crowded for those with a large dog. Not a lot of space, but they do have a self serve water jug with dishes for our best friend. Lunch was very good.

  Great dinner… fabulous dessert!

  plenty of pet friendly patio seating, terrific location just off of a shop laden street and directly across from a chocolatier (yum!). The trout entree was lovely, but that mascarpone cake… oh my! Save room for dessert

  Worth the wait

  As they do not take reservations, it’s best to get there early and get your name on the list for an outdoor table. You can browse the nearby shops while you wait to receive a text letting you know you’re table is ready. Food was excellent!

  Nice lunch

  We sat on the patio with my 2 dogs for lunch. Had the turkey club with sweet potato fries, very good. The patio is a little narrow to have a really large dog, but my 2 medium sized dogs fit under the table and out of the way.

  Great food, beer, and dog friendly!

  First time in town, there for the Halloween fest (highly recommended). Found this place on Bringfido. Nice patio, especially around the corner. Lots of dogs visiting. Great wait staff that love dogs. Rabbit gumbo and burger were great. Jalapeno margarita and pumpkin martini also great.

  Coco loved it and we did, too!

  Miss Coco had her first table reservation at this wonderful restaurant! Staff were wonderful and the burgers and zucchini fries were the bomb! The patio was perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. There were water bowls provided and fresh water for thirsty pups. Really nice touch!

  Another 2-seater in Brevard

  1st, food, concept & service here is excellent. Nice selection of local & domestic beer & full bar. Pretty patio. But we’re on this app for dog-friendly, right? And they are. But this is another place in Brevard where they said they couldn’t scoot 2 tables together to sit our party of 3 plus our dog so we sat saloon style at the bar’s end of the porch. We were so hungry we took it & the food & service were excellent. But I had been excited to show Brevard to my family after several solo trips, so I’m disappointed with the weird regulations or management’s decision to keep table to 2-seaters.

  Heated porch and Rabbit Gumbo

  Very attentive staff willing to come out in the cold to serve us. Very dog friendly and the rabbit gumbo is where it is at!

  I have always enjoyed eating at the Square Root. They have lots of choices, good specials and local beers. I have never taken my dog, but I'm sure he would love it.
