IF YOU HAVE SMALL YAPPY DOG THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. If I could 0 stars I would. We have a large breed dog that has been welcomed as a friendly good boy at breweries all day. There was a small group of reactive dogs when we entered that barked at our dog. He barked back and we were asked to leave immediately. If you don't appreciate you and your dog being unjustly judged pick another brewery in Asheville. There are many more that are actually dog friendly.
- SheriSep. 8, 2022Great find
The food was awesome and they we so accommodating to our pups, even brought a bowl of water. The beer variety is superb, something for everyone!

Awesome place. Highly recommend! The dogs were happy, beer was great, patio was perfect, and service was fantastic. The dogs were truly welcome here.

Very nice outdoor space. Waitress brought out bowl of water for our pup when she brought out our water.

The food was fantastic and the staff treated Norm (our Border Collie Husky mix) like he was their own. this place is a must check out while in Asheville.

- SofiaJun. 11, 2021Great place to bring Fido!
We had a great lunch with our Puppy! The outdoor area is shaded and they brought us water with a smile :) . Very pet friendly.
- ChloeDec. 11, 2020Great Spot- Even When It’s Cold!
We visited Asheville during a very cold week and found Wicked Weed has a covered, heated back area where they allow pets. The staff was friendly and brought our golden puppy water. Beer and food was great!
- AliceNov. 20, 2020Fun Place
great beer, food and dog friendly . our dog had a water dish before we got our water😊. we sat on the patio and it was very comfortable. there were several dogs there. this is a very busy place , get there early and be prepared to wait..we stood in line and waited for them to open. we have been twice and both times when we left they were on wait with a line down the street. it is worth the wait -it is a must now -everytime we go to Asheville .
- PaigeOct. 23, 2020Large Patio!
Wicked Weed has a huge patio section. They are very dog friendly. They brought Nola over a dog bowl right away. Food and beer selection was great!
- AngelOct. 9, 2020Wicked Good
Took our Blue out and had a very welcoming and relaxing experience.
- CathySep. 1, 2020Relaxed Atmosphere
We 6 humans and 2 Labs were on lower patio with terrific giant overhang with multiple fans that were perfect to combat a summer day. Our Labs were welcomed with smiles and water while other customers gave lots of pats. Decent food and great drink selection for the humans. Ask for lower patio for quiet, cool experience for your pup.
- MaryAug. 8, 2020Very dog friendly
Large outdoor patios for dining with dogs. They were very friendly towards our dog. She received lot of attention and was given water. Beer and food were very good.

Got lots of good pets here from some humans. There was a convenient bathroom area I could use right next to our table and a warm fire pit. The back patio is a little louder and more cramped at night (but did have lots of scraps on the floor for me to snack on)
- HannahJan. 2, 2020Love this Place!
My husband and I love Asheville. We were stopping by on our way back home from Tennessee and ended up at Wicked Weed. It was their anniversary celebration and a beautiful day so it was pretty busy, but we were still able to sit at the bar in the lower patio area. We had a great time and everyone was sweet to our pup.
- LarissaNov. 7, 2019Busy but still welcomed pup
The bison burger was delicious! There was plenty of water for the pup and we ordered a cheese tray to share with him. We sat up front near the road and sidewalk. No issues and room for Marlin to lounge by our feet.
- KellyOct. 28, 2019Great beer, good visit
The front patio was full so we were a little anxious about finding space, but the hostess suggested the lower patio in the back. This was great because there was more shade and a help yourself water station (with multiple dog bowls available to grab). The waitstaff was helpful and we sat for a couple hours. The beers were great, but the food was just ok.
- SarahOct. 9, 2019good flights
As someone who often travels with her dog solo, it’s really nice to know where you can go without awkwardly standing around to determine if you can get service. At first, I was that awkward person at Wicked Weed. The front patio was super full and I wasn’t sure if I was allowed inside with my pup until I finally poked my head inside and was told by the hostess there was a full service back patio around the back of the building. Highly recommend finding the back patio, even if the front is open, the back is the place to go. The staff was really friendly and they had several dog bowls and a pour it yourself water tap which I really appreciated so I didn’t have to continually ask my server for water. Good service and very dog friendly, several staff and patrons came over to pet my dog or to see if she needed anything. Easy place to go solo with your pup with good beer choices. I only ordered sweet potato fries (8/10) but I believe they had other large items also. Would recommend if you’re in the area.
- RamonaAug. 3, 2019Stroller dog Friendly
They were dog friendly until our hound started barking when his dad went to get us beers from the bar. After that we were asked to leave because he was too loud (which I felt was ridiculous considering they’re right next door to a concert Venus). It was disappointing considering they advertise as extremely dog friendly and he had been barking for all of 3 minutes while they let his owner buy beers that wouldn’t be able to be consumed because we had to leave beforehand. Disappointing because our first evening there with our dog was lovely, but the second night (a loud Saturday night) he was considered a nuisance and kicked out(!!). I’ve never been kicked out of a bar before, much less so because of my dog and it was extremely upsetting that they couldn’t handle a little barking. Not nearly as dog friendly as they advertise.
- LexiJul. 2, 2019Very dog friendly!
Would recommend the larger, very chill back patio. Dog bowls available for water. Fellow patrons & staff very nice and not overwhelming to our dog. Would recommend for good beer and good bar food!
- JohnJun. 5, 2019Great Place
Falafel and bison burger were excellent. Our server Sarah was a boxer person and brought Coco a cup of bacon bits.
- TApr. 3, 2019Not friendly, food terrible
Like their beer. But they don't love dogs and the food is expensive and abysmally bad.
- BreannaMar. 10, 2019Not Very Dog Friendlg
Weren’t willing to accommodate at all. The beer is too mediocre for them to not accommodate animals.
- JessicaDec. 30, 2018Nice Setup
Welcoming folks. Good beer. Nice atmosphere. Dog was welcomed and a hit. Definitely pet friendky
- AlNov. 11, 2018Dog indifference
They said the patio was dog friendly but we found three pieces of glass on the ground and said something to the staff that our dog may have swallowed a piece. We handed a piece of it to him. He said that there was a lot of food on the ground and that's probably what she ate. Didn't even care.
- SamanthaOct. 18, 2018Back Patio Covered!
Great beer selection. It was raining and the back patio is covered. Hung out with our pups most of the evening to dodge the rain,
- TerryMore than a year agogood beer VERY dog friendly
We stopped with our two pups for a beer. We sat in the smoking section since there were a fewer amount of dogs (one of our dogs is not very social). One beer ended up being three. We did notice there were ALOT of dogs so just be aware.
- AmyMore than a year agoGreat Patio & Great Time!
I went here on a recommendation from a friend. They have 2 patios—one in front, where the staff will seat you and one in back—long picnic tables which are 1sr come, 1st served. We sat on the back patio—lots of room, fun people and other well behaved dogs! I got the fish and chips—so good!! The staff was awesome and the service was great! My 2 labs had a great time here!
- AliceMore than a year agoVery Accommodating
The waitstaff at Wicked Weed was super accommodating to our two dogs. It was a very hot day and the waiter immediately brought them water bowls and ice for the pups. They helped us find shaded seating and I watched them direct other pet owners to seating downstairs that was shaded for larger parties with pets. Very happy!
- MinaMay. 9, 2018Poorly handled
I’ve been a long time customer of Wicked Weed as a local, but tonight was the first time I went with a friend and our two dogs. Despite the fact that we sat in a corner out of traffic and away from any other people, several other patrons kept coming over and getting in one of our dogs’ face. The dog tried to withdraw and was somehow misconstrued by nearby drunk people as being aggressive. Our waiter then told us the dog would have to stop or we’d have to leave. I’m very disappointed that our waiter sided with drunk tourists, sticking their hands in unconsenting dogs’ faces. I won’t be going back, nor will I ever recommend someone bring their dog unless it’s ok with having zero space bubble.
- TinaDec. 30, 2017Great beer and food
We took our 2 dogs and sat outside in November. Had some great beer and food. Loved hanging out at a dog friendly restaurant. Wait staff always made sure our dogs had water.
- RoseliMore than a year agoGreat Experience
Great environment, great food, great service! Pet Friendly and very nice place! Just love it!
- JustinMore than a year agoGreat meal
My partner and I came here for dinner with our puppy. The back patio is a great area where they service food and a bigger selection of beers compared to other areas of the restaurant. There is a help yourself station with lots of dog bowls and a tap handle with water on the side of the building! There are also free pretzels and honey mustard! Lots of the guests also loved our puppy. The seating is family style (ie: long park tables and benches), there are also some higher tables for people standing. Great space and atmosphere for hanging out with your pup and enjoying some tasty local brews!
- LaurenMore than a year agoSo pet friendly, but smoky!!
The staff here were so friendly to our dog. They brought him water immediately and we're quick to give him love. My only complaint is we we seated right next to the smoking area. YUCK!
- AmandaMore than a year agoDog friendly and Delicious
We went here and had a wonderful time on the patio. They brought our dogs water and all greeted them. The food was delicious and so was the drinks!

Great place! Camping on the Blue Ridge, must have a place to bring the pup, this fit the bill!!
- Kiwi&tevaMore than a year agoFriendly staff
This place is great! We showed up at 12pm and there was already a line! Great atmosphere and staff. We were here on a cloudy day, so sun wasn't as issue. I imagine on a hot day it would be a bit uncomfortable. Lots of dogs and great people. Would recommend!
- ArtMore than a year agoGreat Outside Patio!
Had to stop at this place and it was definitely worth it! VERY pet friendly and the craft beers were great! Worth stopping by for a few drinks and appetizers...
- JulieMore than a year agoSo much fun!
This place is so dog friendly! I stayed in Asheville overnight on the way to Wilmington, NC. I wanted to go somewhere for dinner where I could bring my dog. My dog and I sat on the patio at a "window" that had seats on one side of the table on the patio and the other in the restaurant. The bench was so high up and I felt disconnected with my dog, so I put her on the bench.. The staff was fine with that and even stopped by often to pet her. The hostess came by and gave her a biscuit. I had the BLT with garlic aioli and it was delicious. It came with fries and those were good too. I couldn't decide on a beer (they have many) so my server brought me three tastings to choose from. Loved the food, the atmosphere was fun, and we had a great time. We met people sitting around us (my dog is good for that!) and will definitely be back any time we stop in Asheville, this is a very dog-friendly city and Wicked Weed personifies this.
- JennaMore than a year agoBeautiful Patio
6/26/14
We were very excited to try the beer and hang out on the big patio in front of the brewpub. They were very busy when we arrived (Sat afternoon). If you want to sit at a table, or under an umbrella, make sure you are prepared to order food. If you are just there to drink, you will have to wrangle/find yourself a table at one of the communal "drinking benches", most of which were unfortunately in the full sun.
So we ordered food and sat at a table under a patio roof. Food was good, beer was good. Pups were treated like celebrities, given pets and coos by everyone. No one scowled when we slipped them a morsel or two under the table.
