  Great location

  after spending 4 months planning our honeymoon trip up the east coast, it was crucial for us to bring our new puppy and be able to take him with us. this spot was great for lunch and very welcoming for our fur baby!

  Nice outdoor seating, great food

  They brought our dog a huge water bowl right away and service was great overall. They have a rule that staff aren't allowed to pet the dogs which I personally think is great, especially because my dog gets nervous with strangers and might growl or bite. The food was great and we had plenty of shade, so it was a very pleasant lunch. I'll be back next time I'm in Salem.

  Spacious dog-friendly patio

  Our family stopped here while on vacation - 2 adults, 2 teens, and our dog. The large patio is spacious and dog-friendly, and they have a wide variety of items on the menu, though our server said that they no longer have a doggy menu. The service and food was good - we ordered the honey garlic shrimp, buffalo soldier flatbread, pepperoni flatbread, lobster roll, Bavarian pretzels, pub churros, and cast iron cookie sundae. We'd probably eat here again if in the area.

  Delicious and dog friendly!

  We happened upon this place on a spontaneous trip to Salem. Needless to say it was a great find! They brought our pup her own water bowl and overall service was great. We had the Big Tav and Rodeo burgers. Both were well made and very tasty! We will definitely be back.

  Dog friendly spot with good food

  They brought my pup his own bowl of water right away which was great because it was very warm out.
  The food was great and it was a cozy spot with plenty of space between tables so my pup was very comfortable.

  Great food, long wait.

  Staff was friendly and very welcoming. They brought our little lady a bowl of water and a milk bone right away. Food tasted great, but we waited for it to come out for over an hour because of some miscommunication between oyr waitress and the kitchen about our meals. Totally get it in this day and age. A lot of places are short staffed.

  most dog friendly restaurant we have been to yet. bowls of water, doggie ice cream and lots of attention from the staff. 100 percent recommend!

  first thing they did after sitting is what serve the dogs water. the dogs were made first priority which was awesome…the drinks and food where wonderful. highly recommend this place to everyone e

  Fantastic place for dogs!

  we brought our bernedoodle here for lunch on Saturday and had a great experience. The hostess gave us the perfect table in the shade
  and the server (& all the staff) gushed over our pup! They brought her out a bowl of ice water- in a dog bowl, right as we sat down. The servers had treats for the pups too! Bonus points the food is good and the drinks are even better! extra bonus: they have a large gluten free offering (as well as other allergy and dietary offerings) so it’s the perfect place for us with my fiancé having celiac disease

  Great Time!

  We had dinner here on a Saturday night a few weeks back. The staff were awesome! It was a hot day and we had to wait a bit because it was busy, but the staff brought out a bowl of water for our pup even before we were seated!
  During the meal, our pup got lots of attention from the staff, and a few treats as well.
  The food, atmosphere was great, and prices are reasonable. They even have a doggy menu.

  So welcoming

  The day we went was our first day out with our newly adopted pup. All the staff was so friendly and welcoming it made the experience so much easier on me and my pup. They also have a dog menu so I was able to order him a special treat as well. Will definitely be going back!

  My wife and I had lunch there with our dog, Lilly. Super friendly staff! Lilly got a bowl of water before we got our cocktails!! 👌 Lunch was delicious. They even have a dog menu, but Lilly is spoiled.. She likes LOBSTAH!! Highly recommended!!

  Very Dog Friendly

  We were here after a particularly rainy 24 hours. The patio was wet and no one was on it. We asked if they could open the patio (since the rain had just cleared up) and they accommodated us not a problem. Everyone was super friendly, you could tell they love having dogs around. The food was also excellent and the beer selection is great. A fantastic choice to eat if you have dogs

  Dog menu!

  So impressed by this place! They are the most dog friendly restaurant I've ever been to. They offer a dog menu and have dog bowls that they bring to your table for your pup. All the servers stopped by to say hi to the pups and were super friendly to us humans as well. Human food is also great and excellent location. Definitely will be going back here!

  Very Relaxing Patio

  I specifically chose this place because of the prior reviews. Well they were spot on!! Great place, Great Food and Beer selections and they truly love dogs and were happy to allow our dog to dine with us! My brother lives in the area and I will be back every time I visit. Thank You Village Tavern for a great experience!
