  Just sad our pouch couldn’t come inside with us

  we went there specifically because it was rated as a dog friendly restaurant. well, we were not allowed to bring our dog inside and if seated outside the server wouldn’t be able to take our order. we had to place a carry out order if we wanted to sit outside. We went for breakfast and order coffee, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice pastry and 2 ham and cheese croissant, the food was delicious! just sad our pouch couldn’t come inside with us.

  Very dog friendly, delicious food

  When visiting Luray, I highly recommend the Gathering Grounds patio, which is in easy walking distance of the dog-friendly Visitor Center. The server brought my two small dogs a dog bowl of fresh water as well as a pup-cup each. My lunch was a special order which was excellent and attractively presented.

  Great spot for our first meal in Luray

  We stopped by for lunch. We were able to get a table on the patio woth our pup. They were great, and gave her a bowl of water and a pup cup with bones and whipped cream. Definitely recommend.

  Delicious Food and Yummy Dog Treat too!

  We stopped by after a visit to Luray Caverns. Due to Covid, only carry out was available. We ordered food and sat outside with my dog, Tater. The waiter brought him water and a whipped cream treat with two milk bones while we waited. We ate outside and the food was amazing. I had a turkey sandwich with bacon, tomato, egg, and spinach on a pretzel roll with a pasta salad side. Highly recommend this restaurant! Your pup will approve too!

  Best Meal and Restaurant of our Mini-Honeymoon

  Spent 3 days in Shenandoah National Park on our honeymoon and decided to get out of the park one day to try some other food and see town. The weather ended up not being great as it was a bit cool and rainy but this place had a great back patio that is so cute and has lots of cover. The waitstaff showed no complaint waiting on us outside despite the weather. Also the food was DELICIOUS! That is coming from us humans and our pup which they may have bribed with a little pupachino (which was so cute and she enjoyed so much licking the cream off her nose). Will certainly be back here and highly recommend if weather is great or rainy!

  Great Little Cafe!

  We visited on a Friday afternoon with our pup, the outdoor patio is dog friendly. The service was spectacular! Our server brought waters, a dog water bowl, and a complementary Puppuccino immediately. Then proceeded to bring us some different samples of local beers after he asked our beer preference! The food was great too. It was really a wonderful experience and would totally recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!!

  Perfect Little Cafe

  We were visiting from Maine with our dog. The staff was amazing, offered up a patio table were our dog could come and rest as well. Staff was quick and continuously offered water and a nice dog treat while we waited for our food. Food was delicious. You could tell the quality of ingredients used to make our meals was top notch. I would highly recommend this place as a dog friendly location.

  We keep going back

  We visit Luray yearly and end up at Gathering Grounds at least twice if not more often. They are very dog friendly and will provide water and a "pupachino" complete with dog biscuit.

  The food is very good. I'm a vegetarian while my husband eats meat and we're both always able to find something good.

  I will recommend that you bring a towel or crate mat or something for your dog. The outdoor area is covered in pebbles, so some dogs might find it uncomfortable.

  The outdoor area is also around the back off of Main Street (turn right at the driveway after the ice cream shop and you'll find a big parking lot).

  Great experience with our pup!

  My husband and I had a great experience here with our golden retriever puppy. There's a cute patio out back, and the staff was kind and accommodating, even bringing a bowl of water and "puppaccino" (treat and whipped cream) for him. We had coffee and pie which were delicious and the service was top notch.
