Brookings� oldest full-service restaurant, The Pheasant started as a small gas-station cafe and has grown into an institution serving up a menu of hand-pattied and char-broiled burgers, other grilled entrees, seafood, platters, salads, pasta, and handmade sandwiches, plus a full bar serving wine, liquor, cocktails, and beer. Five dog-friendly tables are perfect for Fido; bring him along and enjoy the live music on certain nights! Try the Wild Canadian Walleye, caught in cold Canadian waters, lightly breaded, and pan-seared with fresh lemon, served with garlic mashed potatoes or fresh vegetables. Finish it off with Trevor�s Artisanal Ice Cream, made in-house!
