There are four outdoor tables where you can sit with your dog at Val's Famous Pizza and Grinders. Past visitors recommend the Italian Beef sandwich, a popular Midwestern dish. Val's has plenty of pizza options, from build your own to their own combinations like the Chesterton Fire, with Italian Beef and sausage, and Chicken Broccoli, with a ranch sauce. There are calzones, grinders, pasta, plus a specialty called Spagoni, which is spaghetti in a cheese covered bread bowl.
