    Buoy One, located in Riverhead, NY, is a no-frills fish market and seafood eatery that serves up a variety of fresh, delicious dishes. Start off with an order of the Fried Calamari, then chow down on the Buoy One Clambake with lobster, shrimp, mussels, steamers, corn, and baked potato.       Dog friendly

      They have two tables outside with umbrellas very dog friendly and tables are on mulch so nice for dogs to lie on.

      Always good food but not great for my dog

      Living in Queens, we're not accustomed to dog-friendly restaurants so we were happy to find out that one of our favorite places near Tanger is on Bring Fido. The food and service at Buoy One are always good, and our waitress was kind to my dog. But I was annoyed at their dog policy, which is to segregate and restrict dog owners to two tables in the back of the patio. They were nearly empty at the time, it was hot and humid, and both tables were unprotected by shade. We tried to ask them to please put as at a shaded table but the waitress shrugged and said it's our policy. Although my lunch was delicious, I was glad service was quick because I was hot and uncomfortable and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. My elderly mother was able to sit on a shaded chair but I had to squeeze over next to her to be half covered. They don't have a/c anyway and I wouldn't go back in the warm weather, but I won't bring my dog back there, either.
