    The founders of Mellow Mushroom opened their first restaurant because they saw pizza baking as an art form and wanted to offer other people the chance to enjoy their art. Mellow Mushroom on Cecil Ashburn Drive SE is home to eleven pet-friendly tables outside, so you can bring Fido with you to enjoy a specialty pie, calzone, hoagie, or salad. One of their most popular pies is the Holy Shiitake Pie, an olive oil and garlic base, shiitake, button, portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and Mont Amore, finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil.
