Featured on Food Network, the Travel Channel, and more, 17th Street Barbecue is a dog-friendly spot to enjoy smoked meats in Murphysboro. 17th Street BBQ offers eight outdoor tables to dog owners with Fido in tow wanting to dig into a basket of Southern Fried Dill Pickles once featured in the New York Times. 17th Street's menu includes appetizers such as Pimento Cheese and Sausage, and BBQ Nachos, salads, chili, soups, burgers, signature potatoes, ribs, sandwiches, entrees such as Pork Steak, Two Grilled Pork Chops, 17st Beef Sausage Links, and a Fish Dinner. Diners with room for dessert can indulge in homemade sweets such as Strawberry Shortcake, Bread Pudding, Brownies, or Banana Pudding. This original location of 17th Street BBQ is open Monday through Sunday from 10am to 10pm.

This is the original, home base, of the restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and were very nice to my dog. The food was some of the best, if not the best BBQ, I ever ate!
