    Albatross Drive-In

    Washington Island's Albatross Drive-In is a casual, dog-friendly ice cream shop and grill where Fido is welcome to join you at an outdoor table. This seasonal restaurant open Memorial day weekend until Columbus Day. Burgers are their specialty; the meat is ground fresh on the island and the patties are formed by hand. Also popular are hot dogs, brats, polish sausages, tacos, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, french fries and Wisconsin cheese curds. They also feature cones (soft-serve, scooped and frozen yogurt), 50 flavors of handmade shakes & malts, flurries, floats and banana splits with thick, gourmet, fresh ingredients.       Best drive-in!!

      My pup loved this place so much I think she would have stayed! The nice gentleman keeping the tables cleaned got her a large bucket of water and some good eat scritches. We ordered our dog the pup ice cream sundae (ice cream with a dog biscuit) and she loved it! The food was delicious, typical drive in/ dairy bar type eats. They have quite a few outdoor tables, some that are covered. You walk up to the window to order. The line here is often long but it is well worth it.

      Best drive-in!

      We had such an amazing experience at the Albatross. Great food. Our pup enjoyed the doggie sundae and they even provided him with a water bowl. They asked if he would like one and we gladly accepted this kind gesture. We had water for him in our car but still so kind they asked.
