    Don't Recommend

We recently visited The Cloudcroft Brewery with high hopes for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, my expectations were far from met. The outside dog area, which I assumed would be a welcoming space for both patrons and their furry friends, turned out to be a major letdown.

The first issue was the choice of gravel as the flooring for the dog area. Not only was it uncomfortable for both dogs and their owners, but it also made the entire space dusty and unwelcoming. This choice of material did not contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for their guests who wanted to dine there.

The picnic tables, intended for patrons to enjoy their meals, were far from inviting. They were dirty, twisted and uncomfortable wood sticking out, with remnants of previous meals scattered across the surfaces. It was disappointing to see the lack of cleanliness, which significantly detracted from the overall dining experience.

Moreover, the absence of table service in the outside area was quite surprising. While I understand that this may be a casual dining establishment, the lack of attention to the outdoor diners, including those with dogs, left us feeling neglected and undervalued as customers.

What struck me most was the feeling of being left out. It seemed as though the inside diners were receiving a different level of service and attention, leaving those in the dog area to fend for themselves. It's disheartening to spend money at a restaurant only to feel like a second-class customer.

In conclusion, while the pizza at the Cloudcroft Brewery may have its merits, the overall experience was marred by the poor condition of the outside dog area. I hope the management takes note of these concerns and considers improvements to ensure that all patrons, regardless of where they choose to dine, feel valued and have an enjoyable experience.

We used to be frequent customers brining friends, colleagues, and family but have since not recommended going as our experience was poor.

Dog friendly area Could be better, but still not horrible

Gluten free and Gluten filled pizza was very good. Beer and seltzers were delicious. the dog area is like a gravel parking lot with some old picnic tables and umbrellas. you need to go in to get your beers and food so it’s not as dog friendly as it could be. they could build up the dog friendly area and serve it or they could allow dogs into the nice brewery patio.

    Not really “pet friendly”

This site states that Cloudcroft Brewing is pet friendly, but this is not necessarily true. They allow pets in a hot, dirty, gravel area, where you must serve yourselves and when they were asked if they could clean the table they handed me a rag and said “they couldn’t go out there”.
This is an “outdoor” community where camping and hiking is encouraged, but Cloudcroft Brewing seems to support hot beer and cold pizza more readily.
They need to decide whether or not they are really “pet friendly” because at this point they treat you more like a second class citizen than a pet owner.

    An option among few choices

As others have commented, the pet allowable area is a gravel area, immediately adjacent to a smoking area, with rickety picnic tables.

You have to order from inside the bar for food and drink and carry food out yourself (essentially take out). Beer was okay, pizza looked good but didn’t want to hassle with self serving to order it.

There were several groups of people with pets who came and left while we were there. Nobody stayed for long (not surprising)

The inside and outdoor music patio area (no pets allowed) looked very nice and had attentive waitstaff.

Place needs to decide if they want to cater to pet owners in an active outdoor resort area. Doesn’t seem like they want to.

    Great pizza and beer

We had lunch here last week and it was a good experience. I didn't find the gravel surface to be a negative, and two of the picnic tables had umbrellas. Our dog sat on the picnic table bench. The area is clean. Not ideal, but perfectly adequate. The pizza was one of the best we've had, and the beer we tried was great. The servers were sweet, and we'll be happy to return. I rate it four bones because the patio area could be a bit more dog and people-friendly.

    Hot gravel patio

Only allow dogs on a hot gravel patio and that is unacceptable for my dogs so we left. Too bad looked like a decent place.

    Meh!

Pizza was ok. The gravel patio was not necessarily pet friendly. There was no table service, the tables were all dirty, twisted and falling apart, there was an empty dog water bowl, and a rude smoker came out a side door and lit up his cigarette right next to us. 😕

the owner who was inside was very rude

despite the description and pictures, we were being taken by staff to our outside table and the owner who was inside was very rude and practically kicked us out of the restaurant. i would not come with a dog here.
