What a great place
Sometimes it’s hard to find a dog friendly restaurant that is close to the highway and that serves amazing food but we found all that and more at High Plains. Some of the best smoked meats around and the owners are super friendly. This is going to be our regular spot for our trips to Florida and back!

Savoury Pet and Gluten Friendly BBQ
The trifecta! As a gluten allergic traveller with a dog, who also loves slow smoked bbq, what a find this restaurant is! Lovely rustic charm, lots of gluten free selections including cornbread and delicious savoury smoked and slow cooked bbq with multiple sauce options. Lovely friendly owners Bill and Sigrit makes this stop on a road trip very memorable. Don’t go to a chain restaurant!!! Will be back!

GREAT BBQ!
Even though we didn’t bring our pet, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. The couple that took care of us were extremely friendly. We’re from out of town and so glad we happened upon this establishment. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.
