The Surf The lower level by the beach at the Surf Hotel is dog-friendly, offering twelve tables for dogs and their owners. The Surf Hotel was originally built as a residence for Dr. T.C. Mann, the island physician, who gave it the nickname, the Surf Cottage. In 1876, it was expanded and turned into a hotel. As well as being the only hotel on the island with a panoramic view of Crescent Beach and Old Harbor, you'll find a restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Surf Breakfast features pancakes, skillets, and a variety of American breakfast dishes and the lunch menu is full of scrumptious seafood sandwiches.
