You should make your special booking for animal transportation as soon as you confirm your travel plans, but not later than 3 working days before departure with Sun Express. You can contact the Travel Center at 0090-444-0-797 to check the availability on your flight and to discuss restrictions. The passenger is responsible for all the necessary documents to guarantee the departure and entry of his/her pet, both to the city of origin and destination of his/her trip. The passenger is also responsible for the documents required for transit through a specific country, if necessary.

Sun Express welcomes 1 cat or dog into the cabin per passenger. Pets and carriers must have a combined weight under 17 lbs (8 kg). For the duration of the flight, animals should stay on the floor in their locked carrier. The fee for this service starts at 89,99 € on international flights (one-way), and 449 TL on domestic flights (one-way).

Dogs and cats who exceed the maximum weight limit to travel in the cabin can be transported as checked baggage instead. Prices start from 119,99 € on one-way flights. For domestic flights the cost is 700 TRY on a one-way flight.

For pets traveling in the cabin, the size of the lockable carrier must not exceed the dimensions for hand baggage of 21" L x 15" W x 21" H (55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm). For pets traveling in the hold, carriers must not exceed the height of 33" (85 cm). Carriers must be ventilated, waterproof, and escape-proof. Carriers also need to have enough space to allow pets to travel comfortably, turn around, and lie down inside.

The following breeds of dog will not be allowed to travel due to restrictions: Pitbull Terrier, American Pitbull, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bullterrier, Bullterrier, American Bulldog, Dogo Argentino, Fila, Brasiliero, Kangal (Karabash), Kaukasian Owtscharka, Mastiff, and the Mastino Napoleta. Emotional support dogs that are certified as ‘emotional dog,' are transported in the passenger cabin or in the cargo hold (AVIH) for free. Emotional support dogs can travel in the cabin without a carrier, but it is the responsibility of the passenger to present rabies vaccination report, passport and other vaccination documents, if any, as well as the permit certificate obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs if it is a Turkey originated dog or all other documents related to the destination country. A pet in cabin (PETC) and pet in cargo hold (AVIH) traveling on international flights departing from Türkiye, the Rabies Antibody Titer Test (FAVN) document must be verified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye .
