Entry Requirements

Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Chile with your pet:
  • Bring a health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian within 15 days of departure with the veterinarian's license number in Spanish and English, stating that your pet is free of any clinical signs of infectious diseases. The certificate needs to have the name and address of the owner, and complete identification of the animal.
  • Be sure that your pet is vaccinated against rabies. The vaccine must be given no more than 12 months and no earlier than 30 days prior to departure. A rabies vaccination certificate, which should include date of vaccination, product name and serial number, must accompany the health certificate.
  • Pets also need to be treated against endo- and ecto-parasites.

Quarantine Information

Pets may be required to be under official observation for a period of at least 30 days upon arrival in Chile.
