McGee Beach
McGee BeachWe visited this beach after spending a little time at Waters Edge Dog Park. Nice clean beach with easy access. It was our pups' first time in the ocean and they loved it.
Nice park
Vishal Bhagat Dog Park at Water's Edge ParkSmall but clean park right by the ocean. Perfect for letting our pups have some off leash time before walking over to the beach.
Nice Patio & Good Food
On the Border Mexican Grill & CantinaWe stopped here for lunch. Appreciated the large fully covered/shady patio with plenty of space to move around. Sarah was our server and she did an excellent job taking care of us and our pups. Food was good too.
Great holiday event!
Bandera Annual Fourth of July Pet ParadeWe have attended this event for the last few years. Its a nice small town event and a fun way to start off the holiday. You can see dogs, cats, horses, chickens - you name it. Everyone is creative with their costumes and many just come to watch and cheer for those in the parade. It's a fun morning.
Great Stay
La Quinta by Wyndham San Antonio NorthwestWe stayed here for several days while we had work done on our home. Large room, clean and updated. Our 4 giant dogs had plenty of room to lounge. Several grassy areas with pet waste stations. Definitely worth a stop here if traveling through San Antonio with your pups.
Creative Event
Barkitecture San AntonioWent to this for the first time last year and had a great time. So many cool dog houses made by local schools. Come let your dog check them all out and visit the dog related vendors.
Budget friendly
Econo Lodge Fort PayneIf you need a place to sleep without any extras, then this is your place. Staff was friendly, we were not charged a pet fee even after mentioning we had pets with us, and we could park right outside our door. Some grass for the pups, but not great. Room was presentable, but we questioned cleanliness of linens and a couple of other things. And we opted to skip on the breakfast for better fare elsewhere. This room served it's basic purpose, but we probably won't stay here again.
Nice Park!
Seven Islands State Birding ParkWe enjoyed a stop here on our way through Tennessee. A little off the beaten path, but some nice trails to walk. Both paved and natural. A great stop for our pups (and us humans) to stretch their legs. No entrance fee and plenty of parking. We will stop here again.
Nice but soggy
Ida Reed Dog ParkWe've stopped here before as it is so convenient right off the highway when we are on a roadtrip. But this time it was very muddy, lots of standing water. Make sure to carry a towel with you for muddy feet in the event it is rained recently.
Nice Park
Dog Park at Kiesel ParkA little of the beaten path, but we stopped here as a rest stop for our road trip. We couldn't do the dog park (too many dogs for our crew) but we opted to walk the nature trail. Beautiful space for a break. The fenced in off leash area was large and looked nice. Will keep on our list of stops for future trips.
Great place for multiple pets!
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mobile - Tillman's CornerNice stop for our cross country road trip. No extra pet fees which is wonderful, especially when traveling with 4 large dogs. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good, staff was friendly and accommodating. Lots of grassy areas for potty breaks. This one will start on our list for future stops through Mobile.
