Beautiful walk
Venetian Gardens ParkWe love Venetian Gardens. It's about a mile to walk a loop around the perimeter, and there are tons of different kinds of birds. A couple of resident alligators too, so definitely keep your dog on a leash. Only downfall is that golf carts are allowed on the path, so if your dog is easily spooked, it may not be the place for you. Sometimes people blast music from those golf carts or their cars too. It can be a busy place.
Cozy Seating
Shrimper's Grill & Raw BarI see some people complaining about the dog friendly seating being separate from other diners, but I guess it just depends on your dog. My dog is high anxiety, so this area was perfect for him. We watched the pelicans fish and swim in the marina while we ate, and Buck was primarily unbothered. We’ve been working on Buck’s anxiety since adopting him, and this was his first time going out to dinner. I don’t think we could have found a better place for a good boy like him to test his courage. It was peaceful and quiet and our waitress was super sweet. They even have a doggy menu with bacon, hamburgers, and chicken breast for those who can have people food. We had a great time.
