Options are limited for dog owners in Holbrook. Fortunately Colonel Mustard is a great stop. My wife enjoys an occasional Hot Dog and Charlie the Lab is always ready for anything. The Hot Dogs are good, but I was really impressed with the Ruben Sandwich! Piles of Corned Beef to share with CtL, nicely grilled. Best Ruben I’ve had in five years or so. Battered fries topped it off well. There’s a little traffic noise from Navajo Ave (but hey, it’s in a converted gas station, pumps and all) but there’s a fence around the dining area to stop the bolters from getting away.

I ordered at the counter while CtL and his mom found a table out on the beautiful covered patio. They had a dog water station and anchors for leashes. They served our lunch to our table when it was ready. We had the Cobb salad and momma had the Stewpot Chicken. The chicken was a standout fave. The salad had lots of hard boiled egg to share with CtL. Nice meal, I just don’t enjoy the counter service aspect.

When we read that we could bring Charlie the Lab on the tour with us, it was a no-brainer. He was a perfect gentleman the whole time kudos to Andy, our guide for establishing a good relationship with Charlie right from the start.
The tour was interesting, informative, and fun. Very nice not to have to walk through the whole cave.

You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location, on a covered porch overlooking the river. It was definitely dog friendly, but we did have to walk 85 lb Charlie the Lab through the restaurant/bar to get there. Fortunately it was not crowded, and there were no “What you got there? I’ll just take a little bite. “ incidents.
The food was mediocre, not over the top of anything. I guess the train to Flavortown had left the station. Brandon, our server did a fine job. He was there but not bothersome. It was a good dinner for the novelty of it all, and that’s what Branson is all about.

On a drive through the Fall colors we found this place for lunch. There was outside dining and the hostess confirmed they were dog friendly.
Charlie the Lab got a bowl of water and some loves from the waitress immediately. She said she had some labs at home.
While we came for the dog friendliness, we were impressed with the food. This is a real steakhouse with chops displayed in a glass case for personal selection . The prices were very reasonable, despite the high quality. We both had the chicken fried steak with baked potato and salad. Everything was excellent. Service was good even though the place was very crowded for lunch.
I wish I lived closer so I could go back more often.

We walked through the restaurant, up the stairs in back, left to the outside steps, up another flight and arrived at a beautiful stone patio that back right up to the cliff side.
The place was large and shaded by many mature trees. Charlie the Lab settled right down next to the table.

The view from the fifth story roof was great! You can see all of Gatlinburg.
Charlie the Lab had a Little trouble negotiating the escalator from the second floor to the third floor, and the elevator up to the fifth floor was a little challenging. He got a bowl of water as soon as we sat down.
Jose, our server, was great. He was quick with the drinks and the food came out fast and hot.
My wife had the Brisket tacos while Charlie and I had the Brisket Chimichanga. (He had some brisket, plenty to share, and I got the chimichanga). They were wonderful. They put a queso sauce over the chimichanga that was over-the-top.
Downtown Gatlinburg was a good spot to stroll and shop after lunch.

The place was jumping on a Tuesday night. There is precisely one table with four chairs sitting in the front patio about ten feet in front of the entrance door. It’s not a spot to try to be inconspicuous, but Charlie the Lab isn’t shy about eating. Neither are we.
We arrived about 6:40 for dinner. Even though they were open until 9:00, they had already run out of the Brisket. Sigh. Oh well, we would try the Chopped Chicken and the Chopped Pork sandwiches. Both sandwiches were delicious! They had soft brioche buns that were stuffed with lots of meat and slathered with their signature mustard-based sauce.
Charlie had lots of bits from our sandwiches, there was plenty to share. The steak fries were good and the Mac n cheese was excellent, but it left a greasy puddle in the bowl.
Bottom line: get there early if you want brisket, yes you can bring your dog if the one table isn’t occupied but by all means go, for one of the best BBQ meals you might ever have.

if you’re looking for good seafood, this place has it in spades. Parking is really no hassle. Just go to the Beachside Colony hotel and park in the underground parking garage. Signs point you out to the restaurant parking spots.
It was a blustery evening, but eating outside on the deck was beautiful with the ocean waves making or entertaining sights and sounds.
Charlie the Lab settled right down under the table and made himself comfortable. At least two of the waitresses had to come over and give Charlie some loves. He thinks we come here to entertain and feed him.
We had the Burger and the Fish & Chips. Both were excellent. The fuss was Haddock, a single piece that covered half the large dinner plate! It was freak and delicious. I had enough fish to share with Charlie.

We wanted to have Sunday brunch, but couldn’t find a place. Then, in our travels, we see a sign; Pier 16 has brunch from 10 till 2.
They welcomed Charlie the Lab and us to a beautiful table in a corner under the covered patio. Before we asked, Charlie got some water in the bottom half of a “to go” container.
The wife had the shrimp & grits while I tried the chicken and waffles. Both were excellent. Great service and pleasant conversation. Prices were reasonable. Great brunch.

Fort Pulaski was much more interesting than I expected. Its history is well preserved and explained. There’s lots of things to see, beautiful landscapes, and big old guns. What more do you need?
The temperature and the humidity were both high, so Charlie the Lab was not very comfortable, but there were plenty of shady spots to get out of the sun. We brought our own water, but there were also a few dog bowl around. No one objected to
Charlie being with us anywhere in the park.
It really makes you think about what it would have been like to have been a soldier stationed there, especially confederate soldier during the bombardment in 1862.

We decided to try Salt Life Food Shack after reading all the favorable reviews on Bring Fido. We arrived just after a thunder shower, but the hostess grabbed a towel and dried-off a table and the benches to make a space for us. There was live music on the patio. Charlie the Lab got a bowl of water before we got served. The waitresses really liked him.
I got the Grouper Tacos and the wife got the Chicken Sandwich. The food was good. There was a relaxed, beachcomber feel about the whole place. We’re making great memories at St Augustine Beach!

We wanted to take a motorized, guided tour of the town, but having
Charlie the Lab with us meant we had limited options.
Ripley’s Red train was the perfect solution!
The open air, covered cars meant Charlie didn’t feel claustrophobic and we felt more connected with our surroundings. Once our tour was over, we had a much better idea of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. I was afraid they might cancel our tour, with only four people and a dog, but what we got was almost a private tour of the town.
Our tour guide, Tiny Tim, was extra helpful and accommodating with Charlie, giving him lots of loves before our tour. He added color and interest to the info he was sharing.

We were passing through New Orleans and wanted to sample some tasty Southern Cuisine. The outdoor grotto at Flamingo A-gogo was a perfect place for that. It’s just a block north of the WWll Museum, still downtown, but away from all the craziness of the French Quarter. Bonus: the street parking is free on Sundays in this area!
The wife had the Taste of New Orleans and I had the Fried Shrimp A-gogo Po’Boy. Great food!
Charlie the Lab loved some of my shrimp. We didn’t order for him from the doggie menu only because he had already eaten dinner. He enjoyed his own bowl of ice water and all the goings on around us.

We had stopped here in 2023 on our way across the country. We had never had a muffuletta sandwich so we decided to try it.
For our trip in September of this year we made a point of going to Anthony’s Deli specifically just for the Muffuletta. The classic New Orleans Muffuletta is simply fantastic. Charlie the Lab loved it too. They have 6-8 tables under a covered patio out front. Order at the counter and they will serve your meal when it’s ready. By the way, the Cannelloni was really good too!

The local campground gave us a coupon and a good recommendation so we decided to try this place. We were not disappointed.

Charlie the Lab settled down right away and was entertained by the black birds flying around in the patio dining area. He got a bowl of ice water as fast as we did.

We started with the coupon-referred appetizer of fried pickles. Best I ever had! The wife and I both got the BBQ shrimp. What a great meal. I finished off my dinner with a piece of Key Lime Pie, wonderful.

One downside, you can’t serve watered-down tequila to a tequila sipper and expect her not to notice it. The server even brought out the bottle to prove it was the right stuff.

We were passing through Payson with Charlie the Lab. I love BBQ, and the dog friendly rating made this choice a no-brainer. The large covered patio was a great place for lunch and the hostess made sure to find us a spot not too close to the several other dogs who were also there. (Charlie is sometimes overly friendly). The water for the three of us came out quickly.
The chopped brisket was some of the best I have ever had. My wife got the brisket sandwich, on a soft brioche bun. Service was friendly and prompt, the sides were nice, their pizza looked and smelled wonderful. But I came for the brisket and was not disappointed.

Lunch at Dellepiane was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I had the Dellepiane Burger and the wife had the Empanadas. The portions were large enough to share with my boy.
Charlie the Lab was welcomed with open arms and a big bowl of ice water. Our server was also a lab owner and just couldn’t resist giving him lots of loves. They didn’t just tolerate my dog, they celebrated him. He loved it.

We were just passing through Williams and looking for a spot for lunch. The weather had turned chilly so I was not looking forward to eating outside with Charlie the Lab. Station 66 had a patio which was enclosed with fabric. It was cozy inside.
We love pizza, so we ordered at the bar and went out to the patio. They had a water bowl for Charlie. It seemed like it was less than five minutes before our server was bringing out our lunch. It was piping hot, and an exceptionally good pizza. We really enjoyed this place.

Route 66 comes alive in this quaint little local museum which presents the history of the “Mother Road” from Indian trail, to wagon road, to dust bowl migration, right up to modern times.
The whole building was open to Charlie the Lab. Be sure to take your pup to the gift shop/apparel store on the first floor. The sales clerks made a fuss over Charlie with dog treats and lots of loves. We talked labs for quite awhile.

We were passing through Coeur d’Alene and looking for a dog friendly place. Sweet Lou’s was perfect. Full bar, nice beer selection, water bowl with ice for Charlie, our Lab. We both had the Cuban sandwich and fries. They were great. The patio is well covered (good since it was 91 degrees that day!) and it overlooked the lush green McEuen Park. We will look for excuses to com back here again!

We needed a room in Red Bluff for a family visit, and that included Charlie the Lab. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Carpeting was a welcome surprise in a pet friendly room. There were a couple pet cleanup stations around he back of the motel, but the supply of cleanup bags were exhausted in both, for three days. Artificial turf around the building was great on the feet and for the dog. We stayed three nights and each morning breakfast included different hot foods; biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve had in years. The staff was attentive and helpful, though the room was already quite satisfactory.

We met there with family for lunch on the day after Thanksgiving. Our lab was with us and we needed to find an outdoor patio. It would have been too cold but they have heaters out on their patio. We had a fine lunch. We enjoyed the wings. (But I should have known better than to order a burger at a wing place.)

We were out for a weekend away at Morro Bay. It was the middle of October but the weather was very mild and breakfast out on the patio with our lab was very pleasant. Our server brought water for Charlie.
There were heaters but they were not necessary. The menu is varied and the food is great. Watch out for the seagulls that want to clean your table for you if you step away.

Morgan’s On Main has a dog-friendly patio in back. There’s an access gate through the alley in back of the restaurant. We didn’t know that initially, and they allowed us to walk our Charlie right through the restaurant.
The burgers and fries were great. Our server enjoyed Charlie, saying she had a lab like him at home. She brought out a bowl of water for him. This will become our go-to place whenever we’re passing through Woodland.

The food was fantastic. The spicy dragon slaw was fiery. The blue cheese burgers were wonderful.

This place was clean, quiet, and pleasant. Comfy bed and a great shower. We brought Charlie’s bed and he settled down right into it.

The food is good and the menu is large and varied. The server brought out a bowl of water out for our boy, Charlie. The tables are a little close and we ended up with three dogs in the cramped area. Other dog owners came by, assessed the situation and passed by.
