This spot is perfectly located—it's one of the first places you hit when coming off the trail into town. The private patio tables are a nice touch, but I sat at one of the side tables with a fire pit, which was great. Plus, there's always at least one dog hanging out when we walk by, which is a good sign in my book!

Rita’s is always a great seasonal stop, and the walk-up window makes ordering easy and quick.

Great spot with plenty of outdoor seating—picnic tables under trees or shaded patio tables. Tasty ice cream, comfort food, and a partial dog menu (Smokey loves the pup cups!). It can get busy, as it's located at a highway intersection, but it's a nice seasonal stop. Pets stay outside while you order, and staff bring the food out to you.

I visited this park once; it was beautiful and had plenty of open space! However, I wouldn’t return, as off-leash dogs seem common, given the limited designated walking paths. If your pet plays well with others, though, it’s a great spot for a picnic and some long-lead play.

This isn't our usual hangout, but it's a nice spot (just located on a busy road). The hiking trail and the creek are perfect for Fido to escape the heat. Note that the mowed path behind the playground is under a bridge if your dog gets spooked by noises.

We decided to check out the event on a whim, and we were pleasantly surprised! There was plenty of parking, and I appreciated how well-spaced the vendors were. Smokey loved his doggie hot dog from the Firefighter food truck. Plus, all the dogs were really well-behaved.

Smokey's dad, a photographer, spent at least two hours here enjoying the audio tour. Smokey and I had initially explored the nearby park and downtown before realizing the museum is dog friendly—there was a sign to confirm it! The owner was very welcoming to our pup, which was great. The museum was tight, but they're fundraising for a larger space!

After a long day of travel, we decided to stop by Blue Mountain Brewery and were glad we did! Even though we arrived just over an hour before closing, our experience was top-notch. Our server, Rett, made the evening special with his positive attitude and attentive service. He was great about checking in on us and made sure to acknowledge our dog as well. I appreciated being seated away from the other pets in the designated area when asked. We were thrilled to find a sweet cider on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the Bacon Pimento Cheeseburger and the Reuben.

Saluda Shoals Park is a fantastic spot for both our pup, Smokey, and us. The park offers plenty of shade, a variety of paths, and is easy to navigate. With a $5 parking fee, it’s definitely worth it for the enjoyable time you can spend there. Smokey especially loved cooling off by dipping in the water.
Parking was $12 for a quick visit, but it was worth it for the outdoor experience. The US National Whitewater Center offers a variety of activities, including hiking trails, dog-friendly patios at the eateries, and plenty of spots to watch the rafters. Our older dog got tired and overheated quickly, but we managed to find a shaded area to relax after walking the loop.

Finally made it to the drive-ins after way too long! It was a packed night with both Twisters and Deadpool & Wolverine selling out, but I'd secured my tickets online beforehand. The process was smooth and the transaction fee was minimal!
The owner even stopped by to greet Smokey. Our pup stayed alert during the first movie, but once the crowd thinned out for the second showing, he settled in for a nap, having claimed all the blankets for himself, of course!

Close to downtown, with plenty of parking! Perfect after a day of hiking at Saluda Shoals Park. Ordered the small Palmetto Breeze, but next time looking to get their king size to share! Smokey appreciated the umbrella to help cool off.

A new favorite in downtown. The host greeted us with menus, where we’d then pick from any of the umbrella-shaded picnic tables. The outdoor seating area was spread out and had barriers with the sidewalk. Staff was friendly and we all loved our food! A cider option and a dog menu was also available on site.

We love walking here on hot/cold days to take breaks in between the stores. Lots of businesses have dog-friendly stickers and a few with dog bowls. Smokey receives lots of pets when he visits Altar'd State, Bath & Body Works and LLBean.

Overall pleased with the experience, and the staff were great! This was my first time with a shared bathroom, but it was clean, and I had no issues during my stay. Just keep in mind that the parking garage is a ten-minute walk, but I appreciated the $10 hotel discount.

Clean and exactly as described. Smokey loved receiving his first goodie bag at a hotel and he slept in his bed the entire stay! Just keep in mind the complimentary breakfast is limited.

Visited Knoebels in August of 2023 and dogs were allowed on the carousels, antique cars, trains and motor boats. I have a Pit Bull mix, and we tried out the antique cars and motor boats - which he loved! Greeted right away upon entering where he was handed a treat.
