Favorite restaurant of our trip
Howard's RestaurantThe food was good. The patio was beautiful with sounds of the river running past. And it was very dog friendly. Dutch even got a bowl of ice water from our waiter. Highly recommend this place if you are in Gatlinburg, with or without a furry friend.
Nice pub
Fox & Parrot TavernStopped for lunch and it was perfect for our golden retriever who has not been in many restaurants yet. Very low key. I wouldn’t say our waitress was dog friendly— more dog ambivalent — which was fine by me. Meant that he didn’t get overly excited. Food was unique.
Great dog park
Gatlinburg Dog ParkSo happy we stopped here. We don’t take our golden retriever to dog parks at home since we have lots of room for him to run. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the park was beautiful, well maintained and had a playground nearby for my kids.
Excellent for families with dogs
Foxfire Mountain Adventure Parkmy kids loved the zip lines and exploring the trails. Dutch loved the many opportunities to play in the stream that almost circles the property. We were able to take him off leash for quite a bit as we didn’t see many people on the trails. most seem to come for zip lines and only go a short way onto the trails. if you decide to hike a ways with your furry friend then you will likely have the trail to yourself.
Easy walk for all ages
Gatlinburg TrailThe trail was quite busy but we were there over spring break so that was to be expected. Even so, it was a beautiful walk with a few areas to let your dog cool off in the water. Everyone on the trail was friendly and other dog owners did a great job keeping the dogs in check too.
