The sites are small, yet arranged so we didn't feel on top of our neighbors. Most sites have shade, a plus for dogs. Has a nice dog park and bag stations throughout the park. Lots of dogs stay here and there are several dog friendly restaurants nearby.

Highly recommend "Congdon's After Dark". A great food truck park located outside of Congdon's Doughnuts Family Restaurant & Bakery in Wells, has entertainment and up to 10 food trucks every evening. Popeye was unusually rattled by the plethora of kids running amuck, but there were tables closer to the restaurant that were away from the crowd and little chalk artists drawing on the fence. Lots of parking.

The Crab Roll, at dog-friendly "Mainly Seafood Company" in Freeport, was much better than the lobster roll we had in Wells. They grilled a buttered bun, but the crab was delicious, and there was a LOT of it. Service and hospitality was outstanding as well. Patio is gravel so bring the dog's blanket, and you'll need your water bowl as well. Tables have umbrellas and are widely spaced. Plenty of parking.

Bring your own water bowl, but there is a big patio with widely separated tables around the Take-Out counter. Parking lot was packed (spots open up quickly) but we got our order fast. Lobster rolls are packed with claw meat. Order the clam chowder too. You won't regret it.

Highly recommend. Really good food. Service, Vibe and Hospitality a 10. The owners are very friendly and obviously love what they do as it shows in every aspect. The collards are tangy...sweet and sour maybe? Being a western transplant in Northeast Ohio, I've never encountered that flavor profile, but it will forever be my choice going forward Brisket was lean yet surprisingly excellent (it's all I order when available at BBQ spots) Never been a fan of black eyed peas, but I'll order them again after ordering theirs. This is a counter service place with indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking and it is dog friendly (ours was offered a dog biscuit). If you use Wytheville as stopover on your southern vacation trips, give this restaurant a try. You'll kick yourself that you passed this by. Super easy access off the 77/81 interstates.

Hospitality, service and atmosphere and 10! Peaceful and relaxing hillside location with a lovely shaded patio, gift shop and event room. Dog friendly inside and out. They do sell snack food items in the gift shop, but no food menu, which is the only reason for the 4 stars, as we couldn't stay as long as we wanted. We tasted the Galena Creek White and Red wines and two slushies. We then sat on the shaded patio to drank a glass of wine and enjoy the flowers and view. Our dog greatly appreciated the water bowl they brought out. I bought a bottle of each wine we tasted, along with a silicone wine class.

The Shot Tower, near the New River park/trail, is a different historical landmark worth visiting. Well kept, large gravel parking lot, paved trail, nice restrooms, with signs explaining the history. Nice to be able learn something interesting with dog in tow. Only downside for a quick stop a $7 parking fee, but it's easy to pay by honor box or credit card via a QR code

Dog-friendly winery that allows dogs inside, so we were able to do guided flights. I like dry and husband likes sweet, and this winery suited both of us. Very close to Waterkins Glen. Kid friendly as well. You can stroll around the outdoor decorations with a bottle of wine. It's a night-time experience worth doing. We will be back again!

Dog-friendly winery that allows dogs inside, so we were able to do guided flights. I like dry and husband likes sweet, and this winery suited both of us. Beautiful covered patio and lawn beyond. Very close to Waterkins Glen.

Dog-friendly winery that allows dogs inside, so we were able to do guided flights. I like dry and husband likes sweet, and this winery suited both of us. They also offer tastings of local craft beer breweries. Very close to Waterkins Glen.

A donut shop with excellent breakfast choices too. They have pet-friendly tables outside. Place order inside and they bring it out. Hospitality and service a 10. We were in town in mid-July and decided to eat here every day because sit-down breakfast places were hard to find, plus we liked our food so much.

We visited the Twisted Rail in the middle of July. Parking is not a problem as they are at the end of a public lakeside park. Beautiful view of the lake, lots of beer and food choices. Patio in back and deck in front, so lots of choices for our dog to lay. Service was surprisingly quick, given the amount of people. Highly recommend it if you’re visiting Canandaigua.

Nice place to stop by with your dogs! There is a covered patio and picnic tables outside for sun lovers. Water bowls are all over the deck. Great service and food (I had black bean/quinoa burger) full bar, good beer & wide wine selection.

Unlike Fort Ticonderoga, dogs are allowed everywhere at this colonial Fort, even the gift shop. The reason for 4 bones is because they were not warning dog owners of the musket and cannon demonstrations. It would be easy to visit outside the scheduled demonstrations, but our dog was fine, as I toured inside the fort buildings/exhibits with him during the weapon firings. I didn't take him up top as the surface was too hot that day. It was still worth visiting as we learned a lot. Parking was plentiful. Bring your own water and bowels as none were provided.

I finally to got to go into a shop while vacationing. The Vermont Country Store allows dogs inside. It was only a little busy during the week, but I took a toy with us to keep our pooch distracted. A couple of employees came and greeted our dog and remembered his name when they saw him later. There's a big parking lot in the back, with trees and a picnic table, which we used. You can also eat at the adjacent Mildred’s Dairy Bar. Hot food available outside from the walk-up takeout window off the same parking lot and eat at a picnic table under a large tent.
Outdoor seating on a deck. Tables have umbrellas, even the high tables. VERY dog friendly. Menu has a good variety.

All our choices were very good, even the coffee was great. Some tables are under a canopy, the rest have umbrellas. They even have a parking lot, which is not normal here. The sstaff was obviously experienced at navigating around dogs, which was a good thing since ours had no plans on moving once he got comfortable LOL.

Highly recommend this. We liked it so much, we ate breakfast here twice on a short trip to the area. Water bowl provided for dogs on their make-shift patio, but dogs have plenty of room at each table. They have a breakfast buffet, but I had the vegan Avocado toast with a humongous fruit bowl.

Easy pet access with ramp to patio and outdoor host station. Patio covered area and tables widely spaced allowing lots of room for dogs. Good atmosphere and pub food. If you want a nice atmosphere near the water, this is worth a stop and worth the drive to escape busy Petoskey and Charlevoix.

Lots of shady campsites! Lots of guests had dogs. We used their K9 dog park several times a day. All the staff was really helpful and friendly. They keep the facilities and grounds clean and even have a recycling program, ebikes to rent, and charging stations for electric vehicles. They have everything you need for camping. Sites are level, bathrooms and showers are clean, wifi was excellent. Quick delivery of fireword and ice to the site. The nearby traffic noise didn't bother us at all, which was unexpected and I would definitely return to this campground.

Goatlocker Saloon, in back, is the section that also serves alcohol and is dog/pet friendly. Follow the wooden fenceline to the dog entrance, then check in inside. Dogs are allowed on the concrete patio where they also serve food. Water bowls are available, and there is a faucet for refills. Food was good. Whitefish was recommended and it did not disappoint. Plenty of parking.

Very pet friendly and friendly staff. Easy access off Hwy 23. Big parking lot in back with easy access to patio. They supply water bowls for dogs too. Good menu. Husband enjoyed a 6" pizza. They have great fries and one of the best black bean burgers I've had. It can be hard to find dark beer in summer, but they had it and any beer for anyone's taste.

Very pet friendly. They have a host station outside, so it was easy to be seated. Several employees from inside came out to say hi to Popeye. Popeye recommends the German chicken. I recommend the portobello falafel sandwich and dark German ale.
