We camped here in our RV for four days and dined in the restaurant everyday. It was all around the best experience!! Everyone treated us and our dogs like special guests. The food and the service were both fabulous. This is truly one of Florida’s hidden gems!!

The perfect doggie vacation stay! Everything about the Sonesta Hilton Head is perfection. The lobby is beautifully decorated and pet friendly. The grounds are magnificent, with outdoor areas to sit as well as paved walking trails along grassy and landscaped areas for Fido to sniff and roam. There are fire pits with comfy Adirondack chairs for making s’mores and a nice boardwalk to the beach. The rooms are comfortable and we stayed on the first floor so those late night and early morning walks were a breeze.
The real delight of the Sonesta is the staff. Everyone we encountered on our stay was exceptional. They were all cheerful and happy to see us and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make our stay the best it could be. If there is a better place to luxuriate I’m travel with your dog, I have not found it.

Delicious Sunday brunch and a very relaxed and boho vibe. The outdoor area is covered and they have a couple of tables on the patio that have umbrellas. The staff was very attentive to our dogs and provided water.

Baking Grounds is a true gem! Super dog friendly!! We had such a wonderful lunch of delishous and fresh sandwiches on freshly baked bread. And each sandwich comes with a yummy cookie of your choice. The porch is super comfortable and dog friendly. The waitstaff and all of the employees were so kind and welcoming to our two dogs. They even brought a bowl of fresh water to the table.
All of the baked goods looked incredible and we can’t wait to go back and try some more things on the menu.

The resort is nice and the grounds are wonderful for dog walking with lots of open space and walking trails. We were in a ground floor room with a sliding door access to the grassy lawn outside. Perfect for a quick dog walk anytime, day or night. The thing that was a bit disappointing is that none of the restaurants on the property had dog-friendly options for dining. The restaurant by the pool had outdoor dining but dogs weren’t allowed. We were also not allowed to sit with our well-behaved pups in a public lobby area, and were asked to either return to our room or go outside.

Halcyon is such a wonderful location for bringing your dog along and this hotel did not disappoint! The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The lobby is comfortable for relaxing with your pup with a bar and snacks. There are plenty of dog-friendly dining options at Halcyon and a nice big outdoor public area for socializing.
