The tag-line for the place is: “Chef run, dog owned”. It is a very dog friendly place. They even have a dog menu.
The fried pimento cheese balls are great.

Spacious covered outdoor area for patrons with pups. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Not just dog-friendly, but more like dog-enthusiastic.

Good way to get an overview of St. Augustine. The train and Ripley museum and gift shop are all very dog friendly.

If you are ever in the Velano Beach/St. Augustine area, have dinner at The Reef Restaurant. Very pup-friendly with great seating on the ocean-front outside deck Both service and food are outstanding.

From reviews here on Bring Fido, I was expecting better. We went for dinner on a Sunday, perhaps that was the reason the main outdoor tables were not in use. Those are spacious with umbrellas, and a view of the backwater. We were seated on a narrow table on the side of the building back beside the AC unit (thus the condensation). Service was ok, but we had to take initiative and ask for water for the pup, glasses for our beers, etc.

If possible, I’d leave more bones for this place. Great Irish pub food, exceptional service, and they really love dogs.

The pup was very welcome on the upstairs patio. Nice view of the surf. Good beer, good bar food. Try the blue cheese potato chips. Staff was some of the dog friendliest we’ve seen anywhere.

The restaurant is actually in a nice hotel. You walk through the lobby entrance and up to the first floor to reach the restaurant. Everyone was very helpful and friendly assisting us getting to the outside dining area with the pup. Food was good. Service very good, and helpful with getting water bowl for the baby.

Very dog friendly on the enclosed patio. The server brought out a bowl of water for the pup as soon as we were seated.
As far as the food; clam chowder was very good. I highly recommend the lobster roll. In many places you get mostly roll with a bit of lobster. Theirs is mostly lobster with just enough bread to hold it.

Not so much “dog friendly” as “dog tolerant”. When seating us on the patio with only one other table occupied, we were told we had to be seated way toward the back so as to not bother other customers that might not like dogs. on a hot afternoon we had to barter so as to not have to sit in the sun.
Waitress was very pleasant when she came to the table, but that was a rare occurrence.
