This is not a dog friendly park! The trails from the visitor center all around do not allow dogs. There is only one trail, the “Nature Trail” that was indicated as dog friendly on the map but it was closed, only open Wednesday-Sunday. Very disappointing experience.

In June of 2025 they do not have an outside patio at the Ossipee location and they are not dog friendly inside. Staff apologized as we drove all the way out there. We bought a four pack of mead and took it home. The Raspberry was good, not too sweet.

The Pocono Environmental Education Center has several great trails that are all dog friendly. We took the Tumbling Waters trail which was moderate, some elevation gain, rocks & roots on the trail but our 20lb Boston Terrier did it like a champ! The falls were beautiful as were the two ponds you will pass. We saw a Heron, lots of chipmunks and squirrels and other birds. Very few people on a fall, Friday afternoon. Dogs must be leashed and please pick up your poop and don’t leave poop bags behind! This is a gem, let’s not spoil it!

We wanted to eat here and drove from Lake Placid specifically because they are supposed to be but were told the patio was closed for the season and no dogs inside. Don’t go in October, maybe call first, wish we would’ve done that!

We enjoyed our tour with Peter and our pup! It was fun and interesting to combine history and historical people with their dogs (and sometimes cats!) Be aware that even off season Boston is a very busy, noisy place and may over-stimulate your dog, ours was very tired afterwards. In some spots it was hard to hear due to construction, bus traffic, etc. A great way to see the historic spots with your dog, the area was very dog friendly.

Jojo’s is so dog friendly, they have a doggy menu; carrots, green beans, rice or a burger patty for Fido! We love this restaurant for the fantastic food, service and they love our pup!

Loved this park and the hike to the falls. The lower falls is an easy, wide, gravel trail but then we took the Cliff hike back to the parking lot and it was moderately strenuous, lots of big rocks, roots and going uphill. Glad I had poles and Hubby could carry our 20 lb pup over the big boulders. Only 1.5 miles total and passed other hikers and dogs on the main trail.

This is a very dog friendly indoor museum. The exhibits are well done and interesting perspectives. The movie is very dark and the floor is slippery so we had to pick up our 21 lb Boston as she was scared and slipping all over. Once seated, she enjoyed the show like us!

Our tour guide, Jim was knowledgeable and told stories well. It was so nice that we could bring our pup along as we walked Baltimore Street. The downside was the street noise, very loud cars & motorcycles. It would be nice if the Tour Guide had a microphone.

This winery is in a beautiful setting with green everywhere and next to a nursery and farm stand with fresh produce, jams, etc. The wines were actually pretty good for east coast wines! The ciders were ok but not great. Dogs are allowed outside on the big porch but not inside so it was a bit warm but shaded.

We enjoyed this trail along the Little Pigeon River in the Great Smoky Mountain NP. It is mostly level with one spot of incline and almost all the way we were in shade. So great to have the river for our pup to cool off. Even though it was clearly marked for dogs to be on leash, we encountered 3 off leash and a very aggressive pair of Pit Bulls that Owners could barely hold back. Wish there were Rangers patrolling and ticketing; these are people who ruin it for the rest of us responsible dog owners.

On a hot day this place is great for dogs and humans! Very dog friendly tour and tasting in a cool setting of a 1918 building. Spirits are tasty too!

What a great way to learn Florida/USA history with our Pup! It was very well done and we appreciated the indoor, air conditioned Planetarium and Discovery Film (be aware these both get dark if your dog is nervous, I held mine to reassure her.) The outdoor exhibits and Docents were informative and helpful too. Especially liked the Timucua Indian village and exhibits and Docents. Dog water stations throughout the park with lots of shade and grass but signs saying “keep off grass”, which is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Peacocks everywhere so if your dog is reactive to large birds, beware!

This was a perfect beach to walk and let our Pup play and cool off in the gentle waves. Found a few shells too!

Beautiful white sandy beach that is flat and easy to walk, run or ride on. My pup loved it and it felt safe as you could go out far with no steep grade. It’s a county park so there is parking, bathrooms and picnic tables for use. Showers outside for humans but no wands or hoses to get the sand off the dogs.

Love this concept! First class doggie play area with a pool for dogs, balls, beds, benches to sit on or hid under, frozen ice balls & more! Plus two staff to help monitor all dogs play nice. You must pre-register and have proof of vaccination (which is great!) and then there’s the adult beverage for us humans and fun talking with other dog lovers. There was also a food truck. We will be going back for the live music and more fun tomorrow!

Staff were so dog friendly, brought water and had nice outside seating on the deck overlooking the ocean. Humans enjoyed both breakfast and lunch options with friendly, helpful staff. Bonus was going across the street to the dog friendly beach!

This place is cute and fun, full of kitschy stuff like The Blues Brothers statues with an alligator, a vintage travel trailer and a giant gorilla! It’s all dog friendly including the eating/drinking area. Even on. Monday there was one food truck with Cuban food that was really tasty. Drinks from the bar to go along with the food were great. The farm animals are so cute, including mini pigs and capybaras, goats, chickens, donkeys and they say alligators but we didn’t see one. Nice adventure with the dog!

So nice to have a place like this that allows dogs inside the museum. My guess is that Don Garlits loved dogs too as we saw photos inside of him and his wife with their dog. The museum is great for people who love cars and follow drag racing. They have done a great job curating and displaying cars and telling a story and history as well. There is even a working jukebox that is fun to play for only a quarter! Big grassy area and picnic area out front too for the patient pups and family before or after.

Beautiful beach that allows leashed dogs to the north only. We did see Beach Patrol so thinking they are pretty strict. Didn’t give 5 stars just because there is no dog wash area for all the sand afterwards! Also beware that none of the local restaurants are dog friendly for outside seating, apparently it’s a City ordinance but we weren’t aware and paid for more parking after paying once already for the beach, only to be turned away at Frenchy’s Rockport Grill.
